Hello again! Last time, I wrote about what I consider one of the most powerful healing modalities: inner child healing. I described how we can form (unhelpful) patterns as a child which continue into adulthood. Energy healing gives us the chance to release the energy behind those patterns. This transforms how we live our everyday lives, and also frees up energy, leaving us more vital and alive. And in the case of those of us with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome - with more energy and less fatigue!

Last time I focussed on how this can happen in a healing session where I am in the same room as the other person. This time I am going to write about how this important technique works when my client is in a different place.

I will illustrate with an example. Often a client will start talking about a difficulty manifesting in his current life. It may be an issue with his boss or his partner. As he talks about it, and I gently question him, it becomes apparent that this issue is actually part of a much bigger repeating pattern. For example, he may notice he finds he is unable to let his boss know the full impact his illness is having on his work. So, he may end up overworking and pushing himself too hard. It becomes apparent that when he was a child he was unable to let his parents know what was really going on for him, for fear that he would be ridiculed or disbelieved, or somehow rejected.

In the same way as in the physical healing situatio
I described last week, I would ask the client to go back to a memory of the first time they remember feeling that they had told their parents the truth about something, and had not been believed, or had been ridiculed. I would also ask them to sense into their body to see where that sensation and feeling is held. It may be a chu
ing in the stomach, an "arrow" in the heart, or a stabbing pain in the head. I invite them to feel into that pain, and perhaps to move the body a little bit as they feel the pain. Once they have felt into it, and I am tuning in with it energetically too, I give them the chance to say what they were not able to say to their parents at the time.

Or an alte
ative here is to do some tapping with the Emotional Freedom Technique. Being led by me to tap on specific points of the body whilst talking about an issue from childhood, releases the energy in a similar way. If you're interested in this simple yet hugely effective technique, take a look at my earlier blog post.

Coming back to the healing work. Feeling the feelings and saying what they weren't able to say at the time is incredibly healing, allowing the energy behind a long held pattern to be released. And when the energy is released, it is in the same way as though I were in the room with them. This even surprised me when I first started giving inner child healings over Skype - now I realise that the energetic connection and trust that build up are similar to when I see people in person, and that people feel safe and "held" to go to the space they need to to release the past.

Generally, I end the session by inviting the person to lie down somewhere where they won't be disturbed, and I work on their energy bodies from my own healing room. This helps to release any remaining stuck energy from the past, and it also allows high, bright energy to come into the energetic "space" left from releasing all the old energy.

We finish the session by talking again on Skype. This gives the client a chance to share their experience, and have any unanswered questions answered. If you're interested in learning more about distance healing, you can read more about it in my earlier article.
