Understanding Endometriosis in women

Endometriosis is the outcome of the growth of tissues, which lead to infertility and a lot of other problems that affect her well-being. Endometriosis is the most common condition, which is seen in almost every other woman in the world. It has been estimated that endometriosis affects every one in 10 women during their reproductive years. This includes the period from the start of menstrual cycle to the time of menopause. Approximately 176 million women worldwide including women from all over the world regardless of their caste, creed and culture suffer from this common condition.
Endometriosis in women happens due to the change in place of the tissues namely endometrial stroma and glands from the uterus to other parts of the body. This sudden shift of place leads to endometriosis. Endometriosis lesions are found on the ovaries, pelvic side wall, uterosacral ligament, and also in some other parts of the body such as bladder, bowel, intestine, but it is rarely found in these parts of the body.
Endometriosis causes an unbearable pain in the pelvic area. Excruciating pelvic pain is the prime symptom behind causing endometriosis. Though the pain is normally related due to the menstrual cycle, but in other circumstances it also pains women who are not facing menstrual cycle. It has been noted that 30%- 40% women suffering from endometriosis suffer from serious health and life issues such as, infertility, distortion of the organs, unable to conceive.
What causes Endometriosis?
Endometriosis is the most common condition that is seen in almost every second women in the world. Almost 70% of the women’s population is suffering from endometriosis. Here below are some of the exte

If endometriosis has been a part of family and in the genes, then it may happen to the coming generation too. Along with hereditary changes and changes in the hormones, change in tissues, problem of immune system and environmental influences are some of the boosters of endometriosis in women.
Symptoms -
Along with pelvic pain, there are also some of the situations that may lead to endometriosis in women. These include-
1. Pre or post sexual intercourse
2. During ovulatio
3. Pre/during and post Menstruatio
4. Diarrhea
5. Fatigue
Treating endometriosis-
Endometriosis can be treated with the help of surgery, and medications.
Medications-
Scientific inventions have paved way for number of medications. Today there are a number of diseases that can be treated with the help of medications. Unlike any other disease, endometriosis can also be solved by consuming Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs also known as NSAIDs that help in relieving the pelvic pain that occurs due to endometriosis. Hormone analogs, oral pills and progestin are some of the categories under which a number of medications are prescribed.
Surgery-
Surgery is also the apt way to treat the extreme cases and women facing extreme pain in their pelvic area. A surgery is generally suggested when the internal organs are distorted. Surgery reduces the impact of the pelvic pain by 40%. Treatment of infertility when pregnancy desired and removal of uterus are some of the therapies that help in treating women facing the problem of endometriosis.
