Using a better way to setup your router

We all have had troubles with our routers at some point in time. I for one have been constantly hooked on to the internet during this lockdown. There was nothing better to do than stream the latest tv shows and movies. I wanted to watch the latest scam 1992 hit series but I had a lot of connectivity issues. I wanted to know what the main root cause of this issue was. I contacted the service provider and enquired about the issue hoping that it was fixable from their end. Unfortunately, the issue wasn't related to backend and was a simple glitch in the router's setup which led to connectivity issues. The problem was that the speed was great but the router didn't transmit it efficiently. I had to fix this issue soon as it was making me very frustrated. To set-up the router I plugged it into a socket and turned it on then I connected it to my laptop wirelessly but you can also do it via the ethe et cable which is provided. After the page opens you can configure the router in whatever way you like. But make sure to first enter your desired ssid and password. After doing that connect the internet cable into the correct port and wait for the internet LED to turn on. Once it has been turned on you can use the internet. Now this whole process can actually be done using your mobile phone, tablet or any other Wi-Fi enabled device.

Maintenance and repairs

With any router or extender there comes a time when they start acting up. During these times one must know how to properly maintain and repair the devices. The most common type of problems that occur in routers is slow speed and increased lag followed by reduced range. Now the problems themselves aren't necessarily caused by anything physical. It's just that the routers need to be properly updated. To solve such issues just reboot the router and try. If this doesn't solve your issue then, do the following. Turn off the router and remove all the cables then plug it in again and turn it on. Also try resetting the router and install it by updating it to the latest firmware. This step is essential to properly maintain your router as most of the problems that are caused are due to outdated firmware. Now to reset your router, press and hold the reset button for 3 seconds then wait till the device reboots. Then follow the standard installation procedure and then head over to the 192.168.10.1 login page to update the router. Once you have logged in to the page head over to the system's tab and click on update. Then wait for the router to check for the latest firmware and install it. After the router finishes installing you are good to go. Just make sure to turn off the router when not in use to extend its life.
