We have forgotten how to pray

Dr.BESS S. PERMUT
Guest Columnistnn At this time in our history, we truly need to pray to the Father for Peace¨ as Thy will be done.¨

The following is an excerpt from “How to find your way back home.¨ Life Everlasting- We have forgotten how to pray.

We have forgotten how to pray to the Father. We beseech Him only when we are in trouble or during troubled times; never only just to seek His comfort, or just to tell Him we love Him and to thank Him for all the blessings He has heaped upon us.

We think we have no negative ways, and so we devote our lives to living along without His help and guidance. It is most important that we ask daily for His guidance and direction.

Thy will be done, Oh Father, Thy will.

Each time you pray and feel close to the Father, our Master, ask for divine guidance and seek it truthfully. I am here, Father. Gathered together tonight with Your children, lead us out of the wilde
ess and darkness to our destiny, to the light. Lead us out of trouble to the greener pastures promised to us. Guide and direct our lives, Oh Father, for You are the one and only Master, over all mankind.¨

Indeed, the Sermon on the Mount was meant for humble man to think of The Creator first, for if we believe in the Father always, first above ourselves, He will respond. He avoids us if we distrust Him, but if as little children we trust Him as we hope our children trust in us as parents, then He obliges us with His answers to our prayers and thoughts.

Do not turn the other cheek; rather, turn your face upward to the Father. Use the Lord’s light wisely. The greatest asset you have is your light, your imagination. Use it diligently and intelligently. Educate yourself not to weaken under pressure of people’s doing harm to you. The Creator equates weakness with negativity.

If someone hurts you, turn your face upward and say, “Here I am, Father, I object to being treated in this manner.¨ You then establish a precedent. If you are truly hurt, He joins with you in helping you find the answer to ease that hurt. Once you establish this precedent of using the uptu
ed face¨ no one can truly hurt you, for you will immediately say, Father, teach me to dispel this hurt from my mind.¨

Negativity destroys the useful part of mankind’s mind. If you choose this manner of uptu
ed face¨ thinking, it will ease the troubles of your mind. You are using the Father’s healing light. Try always to use His healing power for solace, never for revenge. Use the Lord’s healing light wisely.
