I love how photographers can capture the magnitude, beauty, force, serenity, innocence, mystery, and inspiration of just about anything in life as they tell a story.
There is something magical about photographs where images seem to come alive, where you can feel the essence within the picture as if you are right there at that very moment.
They can evoke intense emotions like happiness, sadness, outrage, sexuality, love, hatred, peace, inspiration, etc.
It’s astonishing that just looking at a picture can conjure up pleasant or unpleasant feelings.
Our thinking minds project beliefs, thoughts, and images that can have a positive or negative impact on how we interpret things and the very outcomes in our lives.
The media and the entertainment industry utilize pictures and images to portray their stories, marketing or advertisements in hopes of generating an emotion within us that we can relate to, thus having a much greater impact on what they are promoting, offering, selling, or telling.
The images you choose to project in your mind are just as important as the thoughts you have. You can continue to put forth ones that are benefiting you or are perpetuating the outcomes you don’t want.
For instance, let’s say you are afraid of flying and you continue to think about and post up on your wall pictures of planes crashing, engines on fire, aircrafts on the ground blown apart, how is that going to benefit you?
But what if you were to surround yourself with thoughts and images of sunsets and sunrises from a plane window, people relaxed, reading, or sleeping, or views from the plane of mountains, valleys, oceans, fields, animals, etc, which do you think would create a more positive emotion?
We do have a choice of what we project on our minds screen. Experiencing the “real” thing we see in photographs is even better, but until you can, you can certainly surround yourself with images that are supporting your learning, growth and expansion.
Choose images and thoughts that promote a sense of love, happiness, healing, well being, sense of value, peace, abundance, etc.
Visualization has become a very powerful tool in healing physically, as well as in relationships, and manifesting positive outcomes in people’s lives.
You can enhance your dreams, hopes and desires with one simple picture. Just think, if you add some positive thoughts and emotions to those images, whew, the possibilities are endless.
Just about everywhere you go you will see pictures of some kind or another, from ads, to book and cd covers, in homes, subways, supermarkets, office buildings, grocery stores, hospitals, funeral homes, nursing homes, nurseries and schools, churches, etc.
They are there because we are visual people and images stir up emotions within us.
When you put up pictures or art work in your home, you don’t purchase ones that you dislike, you choose ones that promote a feeling within you, whatever that might be.
It would be boring if we all liked the same pictures. Could you imagine if there were the same pictures everywhere you went?
Images play an important role in your life and your emotions. It’s up to you which ones you are surrounding yourself with.
I like to think cameras were created to capture God’s masterpieces, beauties and mysteries that we can’t always visit in person but we can in our minds and hearts. A picture can show us many wonders of the world that may have gone unnoticed.
Utilize images to enhance your relationships, healing, dreams, careers, interests, emotions and well being.
Think about the pictures that you choose. What feeling is being generated by the image? Maybe there is a sense of peace, strength, freedom, happiness, love, expansion, etc. Look at the image, become still, meditate, allow any insights to flow through you and you might be surprised at the possibilities.
Remember it’s your choice what images and thoughts you are projecting.
