Soul is in fact an eternal element, present in our entire body, except for hair and grown nails. Soul is not a combination of chemicals and electric pulses in the brain. The most scientific definition of Soul is that, ‘The Soul is our Self.’
We may know about so many things in this world, but do you know we do not know our own Self? That is our ignorance. And due to this ignorance, we keep believing that, “I am the body or I am the name (given to identify the body).”
This is a wrong belief that is generated owing to one’s ignorance of the Self. In reality, body is temporary and so are the parts or organs within the body. Brain is one such part in the body which dies when the body dies.
The Soul is chetan (the living force) and it is eternal.
The moment the Soul leaves a body, the physical body becomes dead. However, the Soul leaves one body and moves into the next body. In the new body, one gets a new brain and new chemicals are supplied; but the Soul remains the same. Thus, Soul is an eternal element present in every living being, which never ceases to exist. And this very Soul is our real Self, the Self that never dies.
Just like one can recognize a flower from its fragrance, in the same token, one can know the Soul through its attributes. The Pure Soul has several properties, the main ones being:
- infinite knowledge,
- infinite vision,
- infinite energy and
- infinite bliss.
And amongst others, Soul can expand and contract, it is immortal, pure, formless, independent, self-illuminating, invisible, constant, etc.
Param Pujya Dadashri says, “If one realizes own Self, then he himself is an Absolute Supreme Soul.”
To realize one’s Self, we need the Living Gnani Purush, the Enlightened One, who has a thorough knowledge of the properties of the Self (Soul) and the non-Self, and has the divine spiritual power to separate the two. Gnani is an Enlightened being who can enlighten other’s Soul too!!!
Hence, it is said that to realize the Soul (Self-Realization) is fairly easy in the presence of Gnani. However, the presence of real Gnani is indeed the utmost difficult circumstance to happen!
Today, fortunately we have such Living Gnani present amongst us, from whom we all can attai
Self-Realization!!
And that Gnani is Pujya Deepakbhai, who is Param Pujya Dadashri’s torchbearer. He continues to grace thousands of seekers around the world with Self-Realization (enlightenment of Soul) and imparts right understanding to people at large. Pujya Deepakbhai says, “Only when wrong understanding departs from life, one will find peace in life.”
Any suffering that we experience in life is all because of our own wrong understanding. And Gnanis, with all compassion in their heart, have a beautiful knack to change this understanding to the right one. I would therefore humbly recommend you to meet this loving Living Gnani, who has been instrumental in bringing peace and eternal joy in the lives of many. How can one overcome karma according to Hindu philosophy and avoid or rectify bad karma in this life?
The science of karma It is simply the science of cause & effect Karmas are the actions (causes) and the fruits of karma are its reactions (effects). The rules of karma are such that when you create karma, the resultant effect comes naturally and automatically. The resultant effect is something one has to go through; one simply cannot avoid it. Everyone, including the Enlightened beings, have to suffer on that account. For instance, a celestial deity happened to harass Lord Ma
