What are the things you see in yourself that you wish others could see? Do they see your potential and all that you are capable of? Consider for a moment the means by which you choose to express yourself. The things that you use as your outlets are clues to the best and brightest parts within you. The trouble is that many of the outlets we choose are kept private from the public. We keep the best of ourselves to ourselves.
This limits us in the pursuit of our dreams. The greatness within us requires a degree of exposure to create the life experiences we desire. By holding your greatness within you and resisting the actions that will expose that greatness to others, you will continue to live in a physical world that is contradictory to that which you hold inside of you. Take small steps to expose the potential you now within you to others. These small actions will begin to compound upon themselves and create a forward momentum that will pull you towards your dreams. Try these simple steps to move your greatness from an internalized potential to a physical expression.
1. Write down the things you enjoy doing and how the things you enjoy could help bring joy to others.
2. Volunteer your time and talents to help someone else in the ways you have just brainstormed. You must give to receive. Create a vacuum around the things you enjoy. The more you give the more you will receive. The more you receive the more feelings of gratitude will reside within you. It is the feelings of gratitude and your commitment to the things that you enjoy that will bring more of it into your life.
3. Create 3-5 goals for how you can multiply the impact of your giving. Then, create a list of ideas as to how you can achieve those goals. Brainstorm things like, how will I enable others to tell about the things I do? How can I encourage others to do the same things I do? What will widen my audience?
We must first think it, write it, speak it, act on it, and finally multiply our actions to properly expose our greatness. One is a stepping stone to the other. Each step will move you out of your comfort zone little by little until finally you are standing, walking, talking and living in the greatness that was always within you.
