Say hello to this winter with a smile on your face. Don’t feel bad, even if warm weather and beach wardrobe has gone away till next year. There are so many other things that you can enjoy in winter. Winter season is the time when you can enjoy fresh snow, the vacations, hot coffee, hot samosas, just to name a few. Sadly, it is also the time when your skin tends to suffer mostly if ignored.

This season can be most challenging for people who have acne-prone skin. The dry are not only may leave their skin irritated but also cause redness and increase skin breakouts. People usually tend to stay indoors during winters. The decreased exposure to vitami
D from the sun may also deteriorate the condition of your skin.
Check out some wonderful tips on how to get acne-free skin in winters:

When it comes to winter, the dry air is probably the most challenging thing especially for people who have acne-prone skin. It makes your skin more sensitive. So in case you are using harsh acne treatment that makes your skin drier, you might end up worsening your skin condition and even resulting in more acne breakouts. You should always opt for gentle skin cleanser and acne products that are not just effective but also protect your skin from dry and harsh elements of chilly winters.

It is essential to keep your skin hydrated and moisturized. The dry air of winter season can cause more breakouts. You should never keep your skin dry, especially in winters as when it feels dry, it produces more oil to compensate, that means you will have clogged pores and more acne. You should always choose an oil-free moisturizer to prevent your skin from drying. Make sure you drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily to keep your skin radiant from outside and hydrated from inside.

Winters means sweaters and layers of clothing which means people who have oily, acne-prone skin may likely experience more back acne breakouts as oil is trapped against their skin daily. To prevent back acne, you must use a good exfoliating body wash.

When it is about keeping your skin acne-free in winters, it is essential that you exfoliate your skin, both facial and body. Though it is essential to exfoliate your skin throughout the year, it is particularly essential in winter as the increase in dead and dry skin cells in this season may result in more clogged pores. Clogged skin pores invite more bacteria build up that further causes acne breakouts. So it is essential that you use a good and gentle product to exfoliate your skin.

Finally, make sure you follow a healthy and nutritious diet, keep your stress levels at minimal, workout regularly to keep yourself healthy overall and get a clear skin in winters. Don’t let winters take away your smile. With just a little care and changes in habits, you can have a healthy, acne-free skin in winters.
