My name is Carol Ferguson and I am a divorced mother of 2 wonderful children. My husband divorced me when our children were 6 and 10 years old. At the time, I worked for a large corporation and while I had a good paying job, I was like most of you and used to living off two paychecks. Now I had to live off only one paycheck.
Honestly, I was pretty scared. So, the first thing I did was take courses at night while my children slept and got my Project Management Professional (PMP) designation. I needed to make sure I had some higher education credits as a means to ensure continued employment.
Then, I needed to learn how to budget my money tightly so we could still afford the things we were used to and that were important to us. So, I took courses, read a lot and learned from my mistakes along the way. I spent a lot of money to be personally trained by T. Harv Eker, the author of the N.Y. times bestselling book “The Secrets of a Millionaire Mind”and Alex Mandossian, Online Marketing Expert, Teleseminar Expert, Thought Leader, Speaker, and Author
And slowly, surely, I got out of debt. The children and I learned to live within our means so we could stay in our home and do special things like going away for vacation every year and attending summer camp. Now I own my house, have a substantial retirement fund, travel and have financial freedom.
In my efforts to get through the emotional issues of my divorce, I spent a lot of time reading self-help books, getting support from friends and family and taking courses with Peak Potentials whose mission is to “Educate and Inspire People to Live in Their Higher Self based in Courage, Purpose and Joy.”
I am passionate about learning and growing and supporting other divorced women. So, I got certified as a Fit4LoveCoach to offer my Love After Divorce program for divorced women looking for the love of their life. I have also taken a number of coaching courses from Coachville.
I am also a 3rd Degree Reiki Master from the Reiki Grandmaster Academy.
When I am not working, I love to read and garden and travel. I am blessed to have been able to travel to Egypt, Tuscany Italy, the Caribbean and much of Canada and some of the United States.
In putting together this website, I have partnered with people from many different backgrounds and with many different expertises, to give you all you need to move on financially and emotionally. Please feel free to contact me if there is anything missing you would like to see on this site and I will make every effort to get it for you.
My mission is to help young girls in 3rd world countries get an education so a portion of all my earnings goes to World Vision.

Marjean Holden on Self-Development And Achieving Success
After going through a very challenging relationship, I was looking for a new plug of energy to instill in my life. I found a course where I liked the conversation, I liked the fact that they were working on belief systems and moving through financial blocks and things like that. Just really loved the energy, loved the people, met some wonderful people and when I was there I really noticed there weren't any females on the stage.

Recovery From Divorce and Personal Finance Planning
The financial advice I would give to divorced women is: education. Find something that can educate you; whether it's creating more income, or managing money or something educational about finance. Doing something, I'm a big believe in do what you love, because when you do what you love, the money just flows. When you're in your passion, when you're in love of what you're doing, then everything just seems to.

How Do I Start Dating After Divorce And When?
Divorced women offer so much to a relationship because they know what it takes to be in a serious, committed relationship. They've had all their experiences, been there and done that, so to speak; and so they're the best partner. We all know divorce is emotionally, physically and financially draining and everyone processes all those things at their own rate. It's not a matter of getting over the divorce as much as it is getting over the marriage and all the things that transpired in that.

Divorce, Emotions and Healing
Feeling that you are the victim of your circumstance in divorce is one of the things that comes up unless you're taking ownership. It's always a two way street, it's like what do you take responsibility for, because it's never just about one person, it's always about the collective, the two, if you're in a partnership or relationship. Look at both sides and even though it's hard to look at both sides, like OK, "what was my part in this?" and just stick to what was my part in this? "How did I create this? And why did I create it?"

Dating After Divorce - How Do You Know When You're Ready To Date Again?
I am going to share with you my thoughts on getting over divorce and dating after divorce. As my mentor, T. Harv Eker says, "Don't believe anything I say". And why is that? Because I can only speak from my experience. Nothing I am going to say here is right or wrong, true or false. However, I believe my experience can help you. After spending the majority of my adult life either dating or married to this man, and having two children with him, we divorced. The specifics of why are not important.
