Midlife and Menopause Life & Business Coach Eileen Boyle helps approximately 40 to 65 year old women manage and overcome significant challenges and crises, both in their personal and business lives.

Eileen works with women in midlife to transition healthfully and happily through menopause by teaching them about the importance of nutrition, physical activity and exercise, meditation and mindset. Additionally, she helps them navigate through difficult passages like divorce, death of a loved one - especially spouse and children - empty nest, elder care and downsizing, and what she likes to call the midlife "blues and blahs."

Eileen knows that a woman's midlife years also frequently bring career changes, either by choice or from corporate downsizing, mergers or acquisitions. There are also many women re-entering the job market after years of being home raising their families.

Having been the owner of a successful, pre-press graphic arts company with 30 employees that provided design, photography and film prep services to corporate accounts for over 20 years, Eileen understands the stresses of juggling family and career. She certainly knows what it's like to "wear all the hats" at work including: administrative, sales, human resources, marketing and facilities management. And on the home-front with her family she was nurturer, disciplinarian, nurse, supporter, motivator, maintenance & repair, budgeting, planning and recreation, just to name a few.

She has acquired in-depth knowledge and extensive hands-on experience relating to a wide range of business conce s such as planning and formation, legal, accounting and insurance, employee management, equipment and facility lease negotiation, customer acquisition and retention and vendor relations. In addition, Eileen has studied online marketing and social media extensively, and is very committed to helping midlife women utilize these powerful tools in building and expanding their businesses.

In addition to her graphic arts company, Eileen owned and operated a custom invitation, stationery & gift retail store which was located in a commercial property she bought and then redeveloped from single-use to multi-use. Through that complicated process, she learned much about the ins-and-outs of commercial property redevelopment, ultimately becoming a commercial landlord to two restaurant tenants.

Eileen's diverse business experience provides her with a unique, knowledgable and very personal perspective in being able to relate to the challenges faced by women business owners in today's fast-paced world. Her strong commitment and desire is to assist women in launching their own businesses, growing ones they already own, and advising them on integrating and utilizing online technology and social media to capture market share within their niche.

Widowed in 1999, Eileen has raised two children on her own. Her daughters are now years out of the nest and living on their own. Her stepson, who was 17 years old at the time of his father's death, struggled for many years with drugs and alcohol addiction. In 2007, despite Eileen's ongoing emotional and financial support through several rehabilitation attempts, he died from a heroin overdose at the age of 26 years old.

If anyone understands the challenges presented by life's sometimes heartbreaking experiences, it is Eileen. Because of the obstacles she has faced in her own life, she's absolutely committed to getting and giving the most from and to life. Known for her high energy and direct, but extremely compassionate nature, Eileen coaches her clients via one-on-one phone sessions, in group teleseminars and webinars and during specially designed workshops and retreats. In addition to coaching services, Eileen offers speaking topics, blog articles and programs on a variety of subjects relevant to midlife women.

When I was a child, I loved The Wizard of Oz. And since I grew up in an era long, long before DVD, Netflix or On-Demand, we had to wait a whole year between viewings for the movie to be shown again on TV. In our house it became a night for a special occasion!

Having a network of friends is one of the single, most important aspects to a happy and healthy life. Unlike family relationships, our friendships are formed by personal choice, without the formality of legal ties or ceremonies. Like family relationships however, friendships can span our entire lifetime.

This week’s weather prediction is for temperatures to go as high as 65 degrees, possibly even more, this week! 65 degrees! That’s jacket weather…not coat weather…jacket weather! I realized I’m really restless with a severe case of Spring Fever. I’m tired of seeing my breath escape in white puffs every time I step outdoors. I’m weary of bundling up in several layers to take my dogs for a short walk. I’m tired of shoveling snow and scraping ice off my car’s windows. I’m ready to say goodbye to chapped hands and lips, fly-away hair, and dry, itchy skin!

Even the sound of its name conjures sadness and loneliness; after all what good is an “empty” nest? You’ve seen them, perched high in the branches of a tree or tucked into the soffits or doorjambs of a building. Empty nests: mounds of twigs, string and muck sitting abandoned, crumbling in the wind, no longer needed; no longer purposeful. Roughly 38 million women were born between the years of 1946 to 1964, the years known as the baby boom, and many of them became mothers.

I write a lot about the importance of diet to our health and well being. What we eat – and what we do not eat – has been proven to directly affect obesity levels, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, cancers, osteoporosis and even dental diseases.SunWith spring’s arrival heralding warmer weather and longer, sunny days, people will be spending a lot more of their free time outdoors. Ask anyone to tell you what they consider to be the number one cause for the rise in skin cancer worldwide, and I will bet you they will unanimously blame sun exposure.

For the last couple weeks I ran away. No, not literally, just figuratively. In other words I turned tail, headed for the hills, flew the coop, bowed out, fell behind, disengaged, and withdrew. The last two synonyms express it perfectly: I disengaged. I withdrew. Sure, I had my reasons for withdrawing! Don’t we all have our reasons when we quit something, even if only temporarily? After I wrote my reasons on a piece of paper, I looked at them staring back at me in black and white, (yes, I really DO this exercise and it REALLY works, I don’t just coach my clients to do this!)

I’ve mentioned before that I’m a huge fan of the Internet and Social Media. I’ve learned so many incredible and empowering things by accessing and using both of these mediums. They’re an unlimited source of awakening for me through the things I learn when surfing the Net or sharing and reading in forums and social media sites. More and more often today, when I learn amazing new things or am introduced to incredible people, it’s through one of these two sources.

The last day of the year has arrived – again! For many people, this is a time for review and reflection about the year now drawing to a close. Besides being the end of another year, an entire decade has passed since the turn of the century in 2000. Ten years ago, the start of this new millennium was a significant moment marked by all sorts of hoopla, but now it’s just another memory, another tick on history’s timeline.

Everything we do has consequences. What we do or don’t do what we say or don’t say…and yes, what we eat and drink or don’t eat and drink makes a difference. Not only do the choices we make impact the quality of our lives, they also impact the condition of our bodies.

Preparing for the holidays can be a bit overwhelming. There’s gift shopping and wrapping, decorating, holiday meal planning, baking, visits to Santa, church services, parties and special events and frequent get-togethers with family and friends. Many women don’t get enough rest because we’re on the go from morning to late at night tending to our endless lists. Often, we find our energy, patience and wallets stretched too thin and the festivities end up being not-so-festive.
