How to get started

I live a different life than what the average majority may live. My recipe on life is that I choose to live according to my values. I have written a blog post on this (http://erickochliving.blogspot.com/2010/06/what-do-i-value.html), and have found that when an individual can take the time to first discover who they are by identifying his or her strengths and areas of opportunities, the next step is to come up with a list of values and to rank these values in order of importance. I only have five right now, and the order I have for them do sometimes change. Spirituality will always be first for me, and Family and Friends second ahead of Personal Health, Career Growth and Development, and Personal Hobbies. Each day I strive to do something that would fall under these values, even if it were for maybe 15 minutes of my time. When something is lacking in one of those areas, I re-visit them and discover a new way to make it better. This approach is not a new approach, as it has been lived by several greats including Benjamin Franklin, as he chose to live according to his Virtues in life, and look at what these virtues did for him and what he was able to accomplish in his lifetime.
