I am a Certified Professional Coach and author of 50 Practical Steps to Living Life On Purpose With Purpose, available on my website. My book mirrors my coaching model as it guides in the development of self-awareness as a means to create the ideal life, one choice at a time.

I am a cast member expert on Self-growth on the cable TV Show The Conscious View. Our focus on the show is to explore relevent topics and the un-conscious view that causes discord and chaos and then explore the Conscious View to enhance awareness of our options in a more accountable and conscious world.

I use public speaking to engage people and to spread the message that our best life is easily lived once we “awaken” to acknowledge it. I have a background as a corporate trainer and manager with a long list of specialty training on subjects such as Emotionally Intelligent Leadership and Employee Development. My purpose in life is to live compassionately and with humility and to help others "see".

As emotional humans, our life’s journey is directly (or indirectly) focused on finding connection, community and acceptance – love. As emotional beings, we are constantly trolling for that feeling we get when we connect and truly make an impression; whether it be through our performance at work, our expression as an artist, or our bond with another human in a family, friendship or romantic engagement. When you truly look at this quest and sift away the ways and means, what we are all truly looking for is acceptance and to be valued. When you think about it, that’s all it really is.

Change is so damn hard because we humans are creatures of habit and have limited comfort zones that have been carefully constructed over time and space. We are so protective of our comfort zones that we protect our comfort zone boarders with impassioned justification whenever threatened. We become so engrossed in the familiar that we even accept the unacceptable in order to stay where -what we perceive to be -“our homes”.

What a strange question to pose… When are you, not you? When the time is taken to really ponder this simple question, all kinds of ideas might surface. “I’m not really me when I am working a job I hate”, I’m not really me when I go home to spouse I don’t love (anymore)”, I’m not really me when I agree to helping a friend, who’s better off helping themselves”, I’m not really me when I lose control over my children –or- a bad habit – or a bad relationship”.

We have all experienced a time when we were ready to leave something... ready to make a change or just ready for something different. This could be a relationship, a job or a move; or it can even be a way of thinking. Do you recall that feeling way down in your stomach that just tells you - "hey, you, it's time!”

To most, the word “Ego” evokes the following descriptions: egotistical, narcissistic, self-absorbed or selfish. Actually, ego is responsible for many more human tendencies and emotional characteristics that keep us from living connected, authentic and happy lives.

I read about a man who had trouble with faith… not “religious” faith but faith in himself, his purpose and where he was in his life – career, finances, status etc… Each day he would worry that he would not achieve the milestone goals he perceived were valuable based on his beliefs. His beliefs about what you should achieve and what you should own at a given time in your life. His worry was constant and caused sleeplessness and even digestive issues.

Overcoming physical, emotional and even sexual abuse can be a life-long struggle. The effects of these traumas reach into every aspect of the victim’s life and ability to see them as valuable, lovable, respectable and HAPPY. I know this because I am one of them.

These days the words “spiritual”, “consciousness “and “awareness” are thrown around in popular culture like trophies won by those who feel they have the answers. The answers to the really big questions – like “why am I here?” and “what is my life for?” Can any person really know “the” answers, or is knowing a personal thing? Is there one answer to every question or do the answers need to fit into our ability to understand – to conceptualize – to really grasp what it all might mean?

Awareness--- self/spiritual/social is a hot topic and on many a folks mind, especially these days when the economy has forced us all to go back to basics in one form or another. We are learning more and more that we need to pay attention to our - planet's resources, our relationships and choices in order to preserve our way of life. "So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains and we never even know we have the key" Eagles

I love this quote because it sums it all up in a short but poignant statement.

Living life in self imposed chains is a common condition plaguing many of us. My life work is to help clients see that the key to their happiness in right in their front pocket ready and waiting to unlock the pain and helplessness they experience when their lives go in an unfortunate direction they are not aware they "chose". Through self-awareness, clients improve their love and family relationships, career opportunities and learn to live with simple purpose for the sake of themselves as well as the world. My work is my life and life is very, very good.
