I have been studying, applying and sharing various avenues of spiritual development and New Thought practices for over twenty years. I have been a student of “A Course in Miracles” for 15 years. I am a Sylva Mind Method graduate and Sylva Mind/Body Healing graduate and currently a part of the Sylva Master’s Circle. I have studied Transcendental Meditation as well as many other forms of meditation. I have taken classes and/or courses and attended lectures given by Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson, and Dr. Robert Anthony, among others.
I am a graduate of the "Thoughts are Things" program given in Scottsdale, Arizona. I have taken many metaphysical coures from the Franciscan Renewal Center (commonly referred to as The Casa) in Scottsdale as well. I have studied Native American Spirituality from members of that community while living in Arizona. I was a part of the community of like minded seekers in Sedona, Arizona. I am a Unity Church member as well a member of the Science of the Mind church. I am experienced with the principles of twelve step programs. My most satisfiying endeavor has been in being able to mentor others and share with them principles that have brought me into a conscious contact with a Higher Power. Still, I’m a little bit crazy after all these years--single, saucy and a little bit bodacious at times.

Take a Trip to the Movies-- A Healing Meditation Using Visualization
The following is a script for a healing meditation. This is based on one of the meditations I have been using for my own healing. Use this as a beginning. Read through it several times until you get the basic idea. Your meditation should be and will be specific for your intentions and beliefs, but feel free to use all or any of this script.

How to Manage Fear and Anger
Emotions are quite literally our feelings. We feel them in our bodies. Sometimes we feel an emotion as a tingle, we can feel our bodies overheat and blood rush to our faces when we are embarrassed, we can feel muscular tension when we are angry or afraid, our hearts start to beat faster. But some emotions or feelings are more obscure, not so clearly felt or sensed. For example an emotion can be felt as heaviness in our chests when we are sad. It’s no wonder that we say things like “it just hurts so bad” and that we are brokenhearted when we lose someone.

Who Are We? Are We Our Bodies?
The body--our container, our vehicle, our means of communication and of transportation. The majority of the time most of us think of ourselves in terms of our bodies. How could we not? It’s what we see when we look in the mirror, it’s what other people see when they look at us and talk to us. It’s what our friends and lovers feel when they touch us, to hug us or make love to us. When we are sick it is particularly easy to focus on ourselves as bodies. The discomfort continuously draws our focus. It’s as if the body is crying out—look at me, pay attention, something wrong here!

Affirmations for Letting Go of the Past and Forgiveness
Holding resentments against others is like swallowing poison and expecting the other person to get sick. We are only hurting ourselves. Often we hold resentments because we don't think the other person "deserves" to be forgiven. We seem to have the mistaken belief that somehow by holding the resentment we are hurting them, when in fact we are only hurting ourselves. Forgiveness does not mean we condone the other person's behavior, it just means we are releasing ourselves from the bondage that keeps us tied to them.

The Ego--Edging God Out: Learn to Recognize Ego and Listen to Spirit
Volatile emotions, dissatisfaction with life, problems with our relationships; these are just some of the problems which can cause pain in our lives. So what’s the root cause? We are quite literally looking for love in all the wrong places. We look to the ego for the answers and whatever we hear from the ego we believe to be true. In fact, we believe that we are the ego, or vice versa. The Egor

A Powerful Combo--Meditation, Visualization and Affirmations
Combining visualization, meditation and affirmation provides a powerful means to reaching your goals. By visualizing you connect and communicate with your subconscious in pictures. We dream in pictures or symbols, physics receive messages in pictures, and all through the ages prophets have been given visions or pictures. By visualizing while in a relaxed state of meditation, we are more receptive to the messages of the affirmation and less conscious of the chatter of the critical ego.r
