Larry Scarbeau

Larry has worked with people from all walks of life in several provinces across Canada. He has lead individuals, organizations and businesses to accomplish more than previously dreamed possible including 150% increase in gross revenues year over year. He spent over 35 years leading organizations that provided housing services to individuals and families increasing housing stock by 175%.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree specializing in leadership; Certification in Volunteer & Non-Profit Management from Carlton University, Ottawa Canada; Certification in Executive Leadership from Simon Fraser University, Vancouver Canada and is a Certified Master Business Coach with the Certified Coaches Federation.

Larry has lead organizations of over 200 staff with budgets ranging from $2 million to over $10 million.

He successfully managed operations providing specialized housing including upscale retirement communities. His leadership & business achievements include:

1. Marketing

o Increased sales revenues from $35,000 per month to over $200,000 per month in an 18 month period.

2. Cash Flow

o Reduced operating expenses of a $10 million dollar operation by over $700,000 to meet budget requirements while maintaining residential and consumer programs.

3. Capital Acquisition

o Raised over $4.5 million in capital funding plus start-up grant funding for the construction of 5 buildings worth $15.5 million that housed over 300 individuals and families;

4. Human Resource Management

o Reduced staff turnover by 80%, developed a solid management team and increased longevity of employment by 200%;

5. Executive Leadership

o Provided executive leadership in the development of a 10 year plan called, 'A Plan for Alberta', that was approved by the Government of Alberta in March 2009 as official policy receiving over $600 million in funding for the 2009-2012 budget years to create 8,000 homes for the homeless in Alberta.

Larry is happily married to Marlene for over 37 years and proud father of 3 adult children, Ben, Bethany and Brett. Bethany is married to Keith and has made Larry the proudest grandfather (papa) of 3 of the most amazing grandchildren - Jonah, Logan and Alexis. He is a life-long learner who enjoys reading about business, management, leadership, technology, investing, spiritual life, motivation and personal growth. Loves golfing, science fiction movies, custom cars, motorcycles, gardening and home renovations.
