Music can provide inspiration, relaxation and passion. Some people use music to set a mood. While others will have their favorite symphony playing while they study for exams. And let’s not forget dancing to your favorite song as a form of exercise or meditation! Yes music does inspire and provoke us to be who we are to the fullest of our abilities. Taking responsibility for your life is the key to having high self-esteem. Here are two clues that your self-esteem is not as high as you might like it to be: 1. Blaming others for what does or does not happen in your life. 2. Complaining about your life as if you have no say in it. Having higher self-esteem is about how what you think, feel and believe gets interpreted by you. It is about your interpretation of how you feel and how you transfer those feelings into your beliefs. In this century the concept of ‘success’ has changed. In the past financial independence and prestige represented success. In some cultures large families were regarded as a sign of success as well. Now it seems regardless of the amount of money we accumulate, the size of our families or the prestige we have: if we are not constantly enjoying our life we do not consider ourselves to be successful. This vibration will attract other vibrations that are of the same or similar frequencies.

Many books have been written on the subject of boundaries. Is it possible to be an I and still be a We? Where do I end and my partner begin? Many of us have been pondering this notion. How do I get close without getting lost while in a committed relationship? Many believe that the lack of knowledge of where one begins and ends in relation to where another person begins and ends is called co-dependency and is a negative thing to be avoided at all costs. I have noticed that all working relationships have some degree of haze surrounding the boundaries of the persons within it, i.e.

Giving of oneself this is a challenge for many people and often around holidays seems to be on the minds of everyone I speak with. Am I giving enough? Am I giving the right thing? Who do I want to give to? Who do I have to give to? Can I afford to give? These are some of the questions that my clients have been expressing to me. At the heart of these questions is usually fear. What we fear may be different for each person. It’s as if by giving, in someway, we believe that we may be disappointing others or letting them down.

Understanding how the interaction of energy around you can affect a relationship will help you to maintain your physical boundaries. By sensing your energy field and your physical boundaries, you can greatly improve your relationships. You will be able to notice how your level of comfort with another changes depending upon how close that person is standing to you or how far. Your level of intimacy with that person will decide what distance feels correct.
