Authenticity has never been out of business style, as it were, but it is certainly en vogue now. You're no stranger to the overwhelm associated with an ever-increasing to-do list; no entrepreneur is. But there's a simple reframe we can apply to move from overwhelm to 'over and done.' Take a look at your to-do list, and instead of viewing it as an exasperating army of tasks clamoring for your attention, look at it as a group of friends requesting your attention.

What does my intuition have to say? When was the last time you asked yourself that? If it's been awhile (or never), I encourage you to pause a minute and ask yourself, "Why haven't I?" Your intuition is your inner voice, your own North Star. It's there. But you need to be willing to listen for it. You need to be still (and patient) to hear it. Your intuition won't steer you wrong. Many things (and people) will. Whether on purpose, or not. But your intuition, your authentic self, will never, ever steer you wrong.

When the going gets tough, the tough go do something fun. Listen, it is highly likely that you'll have days that are less fluid than others. Days that present challenges. Days where you want to throw your computer out the window and auction off your first-born. When you own your business, these days definitely make an appearance – especially in the beginning. It does get easier the farther down the path you walk; I can promise you that! But still, even the most experienced entrepreneur has those doubtful days. So what do you do with them?

Oh yeah, you read that correctly. I love imperfection. And while it hasn’t always been true for me in the past, it's an amazingly freeing and empowering development in my life. I used to feel like I had to hide my imperfections or work until I got things "just right." But no more. Don't get me wrong. I'm all for improvement and doing my best. I always have been. I just no longer hold it against myself that I'm not perfect.

So, here I am, feeling harried, feeling stressed, and rushing from one task to another. Ever feel that way? You know, the tyranny of our tasks. Gotta get 'em done so I can relax. Gotta get 'em done so I can get onto "the good stuff" in life. There's so much to be done. There are business tasks and personal tasks. There is email to be read, marketing to be launched, laundry waiting to be folded and put away, and receipts waiting to be entered into the computer. There's so much to do! And none of it feels like the joyful part of my day.

Do you ever feel like it's an uphill battle to build your business so that it's profitable? Well, you're not alone! Most entrepreneurs begin their business because of their passion. Who knew there was so much to learn about how to make that passion profitable, right? I know that business owners everywhere face this dilemma, especially solo-entrepreneurs and those who are service-based (coaches, consultants, healers, etc.)

Running your business can be a veritable rollercoaster of emotions. When clients, money, and new ideas are flowing the high is almost untouchable, but that feeling of elation is often followed by moments of doubt, fear, and blockage. Every piece of that cycle is normal, but having a solid thread of appreciation to return to will keep you from experiencing extremes. What does that mean, a solid thread of appreciation? It's a baseline, a constant. It's what grounds and uplifts you. And get this – appreciation is what keeps the abundance flowing.

This year just has to be better than last year, right? But how do you start? You know you're destined to build your business and yet... you have doubts that you can make things happen. You aren't sure what needs to change. Or where to start. I know how that is. I hear it from my clients when we first talk. And on top of all that confusion, doubt, and anxiety, there is the fear that whatever action you choose... it won’t be the "right" one. This is a frustration experienced by most new entrepreneurs. You are not alone.

Oooh, doesn't that sound good? I know how it is. You want to create a newsletter and send it out to your community. You really do. But... But what? What stops you? Here's one of the biggest fears small business owners have: "Once I send a newsletter I'll have to keep sending it out on a regular basis. And what will I say?! How will I keep it up?" Yep, when you're just starting a newsletter, one of the biggest worries is the fear of producing quality content on a consistent basis.

How to get started

I have a gift for helping entrepreneurs discover how to share THEIR gifts so they can make a great living.

And that, combined with my scientist's mind for working methodically and really thinking things through, gave birth to Transform Your Brilliance.

My clients come to me because they know they have a gift - they just don't know what to do with it. They don't know how to "translate it" into packages and programs. They don't see how to grow their business beyond what they're already doing. In a nutshell, I help my clients create profitable programs based on their meaningful work.

I've never met a business owner who couldn't benefit from turning what they know into a program that adds tremendous value and makes their work more profitable.

So these days, I'm deliriously happy helping all kinds of business owners, healers, coaches and teachers transform their brilliance into a signature program that's so "them" - and so valuable to other people - that their business grows naturally.

I think it's because when you get this right, you build a business that allows you to live your most fulfilling life.

And that's why we're all in business for ourselves, right? To help others and to live our ideal life while we're doing it!

I would love to help you translate your unique brilliance into a signature program so you can leverage your time and expand your business. I'm passionate about showing you how your brilliance can shine even brighter!

I invite you to visit Transform Your Brilliance.
