Part of the Hardgainer Workout philosophy is to exercise as efficiently as possible in the gym, and one of the easiest ways to gain healthy weight is by using free weights. Today I want to talk about one of the most productive, muscle building exercises that you can do in the gym: the DEADLIFT. Don’t be intimidated by the name. The deadlift is a whole body, multi-joint, ultra-metabolism boosting exercise that should be incorporated into your routine. You need this Hardgainer exercise in order to gain muscle mass and build your body.

The Bench Press is a tried and true exercise that has delivered results to men for generations. The hardgainer and muscle building exercise works your pectoralis major and pectoralis minor, otherwise known collectively as pecs. This muscle is basically the big muscles fanning across your chest and hardgainer or not, everybody needs to work this out to gain muscle. The Bench Press also works the front deltoids and the triceps, but those are minor muscles compared to the pecs.

No matter how much we want to gain muscles, the truth is that our bodies will always be trying to do exercises in the most efficient way possible. This is the true regardless if you’re a Hardgainer or not or whatever your fitness goals may be. What does this mean? In order to gain healthy weight and bigger muscles, you have to keep your body guessing. Lifting the same weight with the same amount of reps won’t change your body into a Hardgainer body, because it acclimates to the exercises to perform them with the least amount of effort possible.
