Robert Ringer Quick Facts
Robert Ringer is an American icon whose insights into life have helped more people transform their aspirations and goals into reality than perhaps any other author in history. For more than three decades, his works have stood alone as the gospel when it comes to conveying worldly wisdom that translates into tangible results.
His articles appear online in A Voice of Sanity, WND, and Early to Rise, in addition to numerous newspapers nationwide. He is also the host of the highly acclaimed Liberty Education Interview Series, which features interviews with top political, economic, and social leaders on the most vital issues of the day.
Daring to buck the publishing establishment, Ringer self-published his first book, Winning Through Intimidation, after it was rejected by twenty-three publishers. Through his own marketing efforts, the book ultimately became a New York Times #1 bestseller, which he quickly followed with another New York Times #1 bestseller, Looking Out for #1.
Long considered classics because of the timeless wisdom they impart to readers, both works have been listed by The New York Times among the 15 best-selling motivational books of all time. Revised and updated editions are due out in 2013.
Ringer’s political/ideological classic, Restoring the American Dream, was originally published in 1979 and reached #3 on the New York Times bestseller list. The book was completely revised and updated in 2010, with a Foreword by Wall Street Jou
al editorial board member and Fox News contributor Stephen Moore.
In the early 1980s, Ringer published a number of other authors’ books, and at one time had a string of four New York Times bestsellers in a row, including one book that was #1 on the New York Times bestseller list for 15 consecutive weeks.
His success created such a stir in the mainstream publishing industry that The Wall Street Jou
al ran a front-page article about his marketing feats, and Fortune magazine followed that up with a three-page article about how he had shocked the New York publishing establishment.
During the 1980s, Ringer also published The Tortoise Report, a highly acclaimed monthly newsletter that espoused laissez-faire capitalism and provided readers with insights and advice on how to achieve their personal and financial goals.
As a result of his research for The Tortoise Report, Ringer also became a pioneer in the cellular-telephone industry at a time when most people had not yet heard of the technology. His unequivocal recommendations to invest in cellular-telephone lotteries made millions of dollars for many of his subscribers.
Robert Ringer has appeared on numerous national television and radio shows, including The Tonight Show, Today, The Dennis Miller Show, Good Morning America, The Lars Larson Show, ABC Nightline, The Charlie Rose Show, Fox News, and Fox Business.
He also has been the subject of feature articles in such major publications as Time, People, The Wall Street Jou
al, Fortune, Barron’s, and The New York Times.

Let The Discussion Begin ... School Violence
Now that a considerable amount of time has passed since Seung-Hui Cho's bloody assault at Virginia Tech in April 2007, perhaps emotions have cooled off enough to make rational discourse possible. From Columbine to Virginia Tech, from the Holocaust to 9/11, from Saddam's gassing of the Kurds to ...

A Soul Without Purpose: An Undisputed Truth
In April 2006, I said that from what I had seen and heard, it was clear to me that the media had no clue as to the underlying cause or causes of the Virginia Tech massacre. It was then, and is now, an undisputed truth. I also promised that I would weigh in with my views on this tragedy of ...

The Great Copout: "Evil"
I caught about ten minutes of "CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute" on CNN the other night, and found it to be more than just a bit interesting. I happened to tune in when some woman (no clue as to who she was) was presenting an award to Zach Petkewicz, a Virginia Tech student credited with saving ...

No Other Option? School Shootings: Common Elements
I ended the last installment of this ongoing series by asking you to ponder a question: Was Virginia Tech shooter Seung-Hui Cho evil, or was it just his actions that were evil? One thing that might be helpful in answering this question is to take a look at a small sampling of other youngsters ...

Victims And Victimizers: Reducing The Rampage
I ended our last installment by asking why young, deranged mass murderers believe that their only option is to kill others. We can't hope to reduce the rampage of mass slayings in our schools unless we try to understand the root cause or causes of this phenomenon. And that requires us to be ...
