Life is full of surprises and packed full of so many challenges that can, and sometimes will shake the confidence of even the most confident people.

Have seen confident and successful people turn into an introvert due to circumstances.

But why? Well, a lot of it has to do with the meaning they attach to the events,
or circumstances that surrounds them.

A lot of people walk around with a belief that life owes them something.

Believing life owes us something is the wrong mindset to have because, should you experience a setback,
you will immediately get puffed up, angry, and frustrated.

The fact of the matter is this. Life does not owe you and me anything.

In actual fact, we should be grateful that we are still alive, breathing and able to live our lives

In order to prevent yourself from developing a low self esteem, you have to change your mind set

When life knocks you down, never take it personally, just accept what has happened, look for the lesson and move on.

No one has control over life so you must not waste valuable time and energy worrying about life.

The second thing you must do is to develop a habit of appreciating yourself regardless of your flaws, because everybody has flaws, including the most successful, and famous people we have in the world today.

You must choose not to define yourself by what other people think of you, or your possession, job, or status.

When you define yourself by the job you have, if you lose that job your self esteem will fly out the window

If you define yourself by your status, if you lose it, your self esteem will evaporate before your eyes.

We’ve all heard of celebrities who made it big, but fell into depression when they lost the fame and status

In order to prevent yourself from slipping into a low self esteem, always define yourself from within.

For example ask yourself who am I?

What do I believe?

What do I stand for?

What makes me happy?

What are my values?

“What makes or breaks a man, is not what others think of him, but what he really thinks about himself”

My reply to that question was, Self esteem dictates whether we do something, if we feel like doing something, how we do something and why? Self esteem is sometimes overlooked by many people simply because they under estimate it's importance, and the role it plays in our lives. It takes a healthy self esteem to hold on to a job.
