We all know the saying, “What goes around comes around”, right? We all know about Karma and about the Law of Cause and Effect, right? We get back what we give out.
We all know that it’s sometimes very hard to stay quiet and not give back what has been dished out when it comes to others being heartless or just plain unkind to us.
The truth about Who We Really Are is that we are truly beings of love. We are beings of forgiveness and acceptance and peace. The purpose in our very existence is that of choosing to live from the “grandest version of the greatest vision” we have ever held about ourselves as Neale Donald Walsch explains in his world-renowned "Conversations with God" books.
The deepest part of our very essence is meant to experience and express what it means to rise above the unaware thoughts of those who would choose negativity over positive outcomes. We are to remember that nothing that is ever waged against us is meant for us to take personally. When others spew negative words or actions against us, it is not about us; it’s about them, therefore, we can’t take it personally.
We must remember that nothing that happens to us has any meaning lest we give it meaning. We must remember to step back and take a look at how we are feeling about the situation in which we find ourselves. “What does this say to me about me?” That’s a good question to consider. Then we must choose how we respond to it. We can react impulsively and cause more harm and destruction than we already face; or we can create our response leading to a more beneficial outcome, based on how we choose to direct our own path in life. Remember, “react” and “create” have the same letters in them, just rearranged. That’s what we have to do with our thoughts and perspectives - we need only to rearrange them.
We have no control over what others think, say, do, or feel, but we definitely have control over our own thoughts, words, actions, and feelings. The more kindness we dish out, the more we receive. Sometimes, that kindness is not always returned immediately. We must realize that we cannot ever expect anything in return for our kindness because that would mean that our actions are conditional. The essence of Who We Truly Are is unconditional. Who We Truly Are far outweighs anything we could ever do. That’s why we are called human beings instead of human doings.

Would You Rather Be Right Or Happy?

How Could This Be About Me?
Dear Keith and Maura, I just found your website and podcasts yesterday and they totally resonate with me. I am a very active youthful 55. I was widowed suddenly at 32 with 2 babies. My soulmate died and I was lost and devastated. I banged around for 10 years raising my boys, working and trying to find a similar loving relationship as I had. I met losers, liars, cheaters, alcoholics, and abusers.
