There are hundreds of yoga classes across the United States. Doctors agree that yoga is a great exercise for the body, but did you know it not only aids the spirit but also increases psychic abilities. Some of the great Yoga masters perform amazing feats that range from stopping their hearts and controlling their body to generating financial success and levitation.
According to the great Swami Vivekananda “The world is ready to give up its secrets if we only know how to knock, how to give it the necessary blow . . . There is no limit to the power of the human mind.”
Before formal Yoga existed, there were sects that quested magical power. The munis or wonder workers knew the secrets of the gods. The developed this knowledge by remaining celibate, fasting and even drinking poison. They also developed supe
atural powers known as tapas by holding their body in uncomfortable positions for extensive periods. Other methods of gaining the power included laying on a bed of nails or other torture that required discipline to maintain.
Eventually yoga consisted of sitting in a still and erect position. The yogi kept a strong focus on the tip of the nose and attempted complete control over the mind to bring it to the single point. They did not gain true respect until much later in time. Many of the religious community believed them to be mere magicians. Years of study and training changed the use and goal of the yoga. They found ways to master gravity and levitate, make events occur when they desired and master their body. All the training in breath control allowed the yoga to do the supe
atural.
The training in breathing and meditation gives the yoga the ability to focus the mind and expand his consciousness. When this happens, the yogi begins to deal with the spirit world. While in the spirit world, the yogi finds that it holds the answers to all the questions in the universe. It gives the yogi the empowerment and enlightenment. The first step to all of this is relaxation, focus and desire.
Breathing, like the breath of fire, brings different resonance and harmonics to your system and allows it to work with the psychic body. The breathing changes the brain waves and increases the body’s energy level. The use of mantras is another resonator to create a body mind link. It is said that the words don’t matter as much as the sounds. It also aids in the important breathing and relaxation technique. By slowing the brain waves, it allows the mind to enter other dimensions.
The amazing part is none of the magical abilities is apparent in the individual until he trains to bring them to the forefront. Anyone with enough desire can succeed in controlling the mind and his environment and life. Yoga origins came from the desire of the practitioners to improve their life. It worked. In fact it worked so well that eventually it was only taught with a philosophy and spiritual guide that only allows you to continue to the advanced levels when he feels your ego won’t attempt to use it for other than good.

How Could This Be About Me?
Dear Keith and Maura, I just found your website and podcasts yesterday and they totally resonate with me. I am a very active youthful 55. I was widowed suddenly at 32 with 2 babies. My soulmate died and I was lost and devastated. I banged around for 10 years raising my boys, working and trying to find a similar loving relationship as I had. I met losers, liars, cheaters, alcoholics, and abusers.
