Carrying around energy that is foreign and/or excessive is a common cause of imbalance in the Self. While there are methods to clear, center and calm yourself, grounding is the method for ridding yourself of this extraneous energy. There are various grounding techniques, but let’s start with one that rids you of basic energies, such as that you’d casually pick up at the supermarket or at a restaurant.

A Basic Energy Grounding

Begin by imagining a cord or a pipe attaching from the root of your pelvic floor moving straight into the Earth and then visualising all your excess crap (energetically speaking) moving into the Earth. There are plenty of variations in terms of grounding techniques, often using other visualisations such as a tree trunk, but the general rule is to visualise and feel excess energy being moved into the ground through a pipe or a cord of some kind.
Ideally, this visualisation is something you’d do at least once a day, but perhaps even several times a day as needed to rid yourself of the random energies you pick up daily. With time, this can be done in only a few seconds, making it a quick energetic grounding for whenever you feel your nervous system begin to react, your emotions flare up or even when your thoughts and judgments go into overdrive.

When it’s Not so Simple

If you need something more heavy duty, it usually points to a deeply rooted fear, belief or judgment. This could be an internal dialogue you’ve ingrained in yourself, such as a fear of feeling lonely, or the result of having it repeated to you by somebody else until it ‘sticks’, such as can happen with (emotionally or physically) abusive relationships, when the abusive party cuts down your self esteem in an attempt to gain control.
Pushing past something so intense can sometimes require expert assistance. With that, it’s advisable to work with an on-going coach or therapist on this, as it necessitates a longer time commitment and more introspection than a simple grounding can provide. An expert can help guide more in-depth visualisations and energy releasing targeted for the more concentrated or extreme of the excess energies.

However, many people prefer to at least begin the process on their own. It is for those of you in this group that the following two meditations were created. One is a chakra clearing exercise where we get rid of extra stuff stuck in our chakras and the second is a meditation for letting it go. They can be found at fivrr.com/authenticempath and are a great way to start the process yourself.

To summarize, grounding can be both simple and very in-depth. The main thing to bear in mind is its usefulness in clearing the path to a more prosperous, happy life. This is especially important for empaths, who take in so much from others. Grounding should be a forerunner in your arsenal against the obstacles in your life, so that you can enjoy that which your heart sings for and become the awesome manifestor you were meant to be.

Grave danger in uprooting a Guru Do not accept a known guru as guru, and if you do, then do not turn your back on him. Use a pot if you do not like him. The pot will not have any problems. How can one understand all this? Questioner: At the time we make someone our guru, he appears to be very good, he

Questioner: If we surrender to the great souls that lived thousands of years ago, can that be considered surrender? Can we make any progress through such surrender or do we need to surrender to a living great man? Dadashri: You can progress even through Paroksha (indirectly- one not currently living). However if you find such a living (Pratyaksh) person, then your liberation will be instant. The indirect approach will give you the benefit of progress but there is no liberatio
