In a State of Being

The Experience:
It was in a moment of stillness that I awakened from my sleep to find myself in a state of nothingness. Sitting in a place void of space and time. No sense of joy or sadness. No sense of need, desire, fear, happiness, or abundance. No sound and no color. I was in need of no air nor of food. It was a sense of everything and nothing at the same time. It was as if in a vacuum, void of everything but pure consciousness. A state of just BEING.
This experience brought a state of temporary peace to the wandering and cluttered mind that fills its waking hours. Its stark contrast defies logic of a reality filled with cravings of the physical and the attainment of an ever elusive quest for answers. It is in the quest that we continually seek the many avenues only to find more questions. The proverbial carrot dangling in front of our noses…luring us deeper and deeper as we miss the simplicity of being.
Until we have a taste of, and embrace this essence of being, it will leave us wandering in search of truth and answers that lay just beyond reach. From our perception of our waking life, it is merely another glitch in a dream state of experiences that shape the aspects that we call life. From dream to dream we travel through these electrical impulses failing to realize that they are just that--a wave of vibration creating the visible images the we consider to be reality.
It is in this space of being that we enter the game, lay the foundation, and create the experience. This vessel that we house is a projected illusion of our creation, its characters but mere fragments of a intricate network. We do not reside in these bodies we see, touch, and feel. They are reflections of a grand plan, a masterfully designed play that allows us to feel and explore all the emotions that challenge and bless our lives.
And so, as we continue to experience time in linear form we must enjoy this ride of our own design. Awakening is an illusion, for we are already awake, ready to jump ship and ride the next wave of projected reality.

Dear Keith and Maura, Do you think it means anything if a guy you like at work happens to give you his cell phone number out of the blue, or if you ask that guy – joking around – if he can give you a ride home from work and he has a big grin on his face? I work at a grocery store ...

Would You Rather Be Right Or Happy?

How Could This Be About Me?
Dear Keith and Maura, I just found your website and podcasts yesterday and they totally resonate with me. I am a very active youthful 55. I was widowed suddenly at 32 with 2 babies. My soulmate died and I was lost and devastated. I banged around for 10 years raising my boys, working and trying to find a similar loving relationship as I had. I met losers, liars, cheaters, alcoholics, and abusers.
