“Remember first that everything U think, say & do is a reflection of what you've decided about yourself” - Neale Donald Walsch
The above quote was a tweet on Twitter that I saw the other day. Neale Donald Walsch (author of the Conversations with God book series) is one of my most favorite authors. This quote caused me to reflect on much of what I have written about in other articles here on HubPages. The quote speaks to me of walking what we talk, meaning what we say, living an honorable, genuine reflection of who we believe We Truly Are.
Because I have read all of Mr. Walsch’s books, I understand that when he says anything about deciding about yourself or living the “grandest version of the greatest vision you ever held about yourself,” that he is trying to get you to realize that “Who You Truly Are” is a reflection of Spirit. We are a living, breathing example of the Almighty Himself, or our Higher Power or whatever name you choose. We are meant to be that grandest version of S-E-L-F = Spirit Expressing Living Fully! We are meant to remember our innate greatness. We are meant to live our innate personal strength and S-E-L-F empowerment. We are meant to remember that the lilies of the field and even the birds of the air never worry about not being clothes or fed. We are to realize that we can create the lives we dream of if we so choose. We have the right and the ability to do whatever we dream.
Consider Nick Vujicic – the man was born with no legs and no arms! He is a motivational speaker. He can swim, surf, skateboard, hit a golf ball and play music, for heaven’s sake!! If you see him, you can definitely see that he is truly living his highest Spirit S-E-L-F!!! It’s mind over matter, living from the deepest part of your heart. It’s knowing that Who You Are is NOT “What You Do”…we are human BEINGS, not human DOINGS, remember???!!!
What you say, do and think truly does reflect what you have decided about yourself. When we are in denial about why we do what we do or say what we say, we are still deciding, whether we know it or not, to reflect that about ourselves. We can realize we are in denial because if we sit really still and close our eyes, we can tell that something isn’t “sitting right” in our gut. We can tell that our daily lives are not whole and complete and positive. We can tell that we feel as if “something’s missing” in our lives and it has nothing to do with having or not having a mate.
Once we get real with ourselves, we know we can choose to do something about our denial. We know it’s up to us to live a reflection of “Who We Truly Are.” It’s up to us if we even decide we want to do that. Some of us don’t and that’s okay. If you have read my other articles, you will know I have talked about D-E-N-I-A-L = “Don’t Even Know I Am Lying.” It’s not a river in Egypt!
Every single day, we have the freedom to decide Who We Are and what we want the world to see about the reflection of Who We Are. Sometimes, that reflection is the scared part of us. It’s the part of us that makes us forget the Truest Part of Who We Are! We forget we were born with personal innate greatness and empowerment. We forget that we can create any kind of response we choose to the happenings that are swirling around us. It’s totally up to us to decide how we want to live our lives and how we want the world to view our actions and words. It’s totally up to us to remember that every action, every word is like a ripple in a pond, it ripples out and touches many lives, even if we don’t see it with our own eyes.
It’s true that actions speak louder than words and that words may leave a scar but the physical actions we take have a much stronger impact on the lives of others than any words we could ever say!

Dear Keith and Maura, Do you think it means anything if a guy you like at work happens to give you his cell phone number out of the blue, or if you ask that guy – joking around – if he can give you a ride home from work and he has a big grin on his face? I work at a grocery store ...

Would You Rather Be Right Or Happy?

How Could This Be About Me?
Dear Keith and Maura, I just found your website and podcasts yesterday and they totally resonate with me. I am a very active youthful 55. I was widowed suddenly at 32 with 2 babies. My soulmate died and I was lost and devastated. I banged around for 10 years raising my boys, working and trying to find a similar loving relationship as I had. I met losers, liars, cheaters, alcoholics, and abusers.
