Another difference we find between our personal self and that of our Highest Self is, that the personal self lives in duality. It still seeks questions in relationship to its spiritual nature. It still questions itself through the use of right or wrong. The personal self, is on a journey of self-discovery. Its learning about what it believes, thinks and feels about its relationship to God and the world.
Whereas, the Higher Self, has no more questions, for it knows its relationship with God. It no longer seeks to understand God, for it lives with God. It’s no longer a matter of seeking knowledge, but rather, it’s the expression of Gods Ultimate Love and Divine Wisdom.
Our Divine Self is our Highest Good. It lives what is called a principled life. It seeks not to be understood, but to understand. It needs no love other than that it gives to the Christ of its being. It dreams of nothing, but to serve God, and in doing so, it serves humanity. For humanities Highest Good, is to serve God. And in doing so, it finds its purpose.
The personal self is no longer used as the voice of its ego, but instead its ego has been absorbed into its original purpose, that of serving it’s God. Just as one absorbs the need of physical attention, as we journey to higher realms of thought. So too is the ego absorbed into the Highest version of itself. Its purpose changes to the will of serving only its Highest nature.
The personal self still exists, but not to have the light shine on itself. Instead, that light which once sought glory for itself, now seeks only to glorify God. The ego that needed to be loved and admired, now no longer has that same need. For it has become the Love of God, and now no longer takes, but gives. It has reversed its need for glory, and now gives it to all through its love of God. Our Higher Self needs no-thing for it is Self Contained. It knows its life, is soul-y Gods’. Our Higher Self is the wisdom of the ages. It is our Soul that has become actualized, through the understanding of its nature. It is the One Soul that animates us all. It is the core of who we are. It is the best of our Godly nature. And it is expressed by understanding the Character that is the Christ.
For there is no God but the One God, and in whose expression was the Love of all mankind.
We seek to fill a void that all men feel, with what is temporary. Our Personal Self is necessary for it feels love, it attempts to do good, and it searches for the best of whom it is. And if it sees its purpose as that of learning more about self, than it can seek to live on higher ground. And as it chooses its better nature, more and more, it begins to live with rules that self defines it character. It begins with self-reflection and it sees love best expressed through personal responsibility. When one takes on the mantel of full responsibility for their life, they can no longer blame another. They can no longer use words like “you made me do that” or “you told me to” or “it’s your fault”. For personal responsibility replaces blame, with the opportunity to learn from your own mistakes. It allows you to take credit, for when you make the right choices. As well as to learn the lesson of making a wrong choice. Either way, you win! Either way, you become the Master of your own ship. Knowing full well, that you are serving your Higher Purpose.
Once our personal self understands that purpose, it then seeks to love and learn more. No longer will it seek to place blame, for it will have taken its life in its own hands. The personal self will gain in its knowledge of what is its good. Until it forms the kind of good character that automatically will align itself to the vibration of its Higher Self.
Its then that the marriage is formed, and the personal self, gives itself up, to its Highest Good. It is then that the personal ego is absorbed into its Highest Self. It is then, that all questions have been answered and ones need to be loved, fulfilled.

How Could This Be About Me?
Dear Keith and Maura, I just found your website and podcasts yesterday and they totally resonate with me. I am a very active youthful 55. I was widowed suddenly at 32 with 2 babies. My soulmate died and I was lost and devastated. I banged around for 10 years raising my boys, working and trying to find a similar loving relationship as I had. I met losers, liars, cheaters, alcoholics, and abusers.
