My Friend
This morning I found Me talking to Myself. This does happen from time to time and I believe part of it may be due to my Bipolar Affective Disorder. But I also believe most of us talk to ourselves from time to time. Often times the words are just comments we would probably prefer to keep to ourselves. Still it is often hard for me to tell if it’s an inner or outer dialogue I am experiencing.r

In-Sane Wine
Chapter 1 In-Sane Wine Perhaps I am a crazy person or maybe not. If I believe what the doctors tell me then, in fact, I am somewhat insane. Personally I don’t like that word because what is sanity? And if one were truly sane would they not be deemed In-Sane, Insane or even In-Sanity.r

What is the 1st Step
What is the 1st step? We all experience a number of 1st steps in our lives. Every time we take a new direction, change a plan or complete a goal another 1st step has been made or has to be made. Decades ago I was involved in a 12 step program called NA or Narcotics Anonymous.r

What is the price of your self-esteem?
What's the price of your self-esteem? It seems that most of my friends echo a theme that I have often heard repeated in so many ways in social settings and in numerous support and help groups.r

Who is to blame?
Who is to blame? One statement that always makes me laugh is when I hear someone say "You made me do it" or "You made me mad". DO you see anything comically wrong with these statements? Certainly when uttered as children those statements seem apropos. But I outgrew childhood in my childhood and realized that these statements simply state "I am powerless to control myself" (so I will blame you).

I'm Bored
I’m BORED ! I hear this from time to time from the few friends I have left who have survived living with HIV/AIDS. I have survived taking meds since 1986. And, yes, at times, I have said the same thing myself - I am BORED. When in fact, in my mind, I was simply lazy.r

Who is driving the bus? (and why is it smoking?)
Who is Driving the Bus? rn( and why is it smoking??? ) ( a story of addiction and attraction ) I am biting my nails trying not to follow the urge to get some cigarettes. I have a little money and I have enough gas to make it but I don't want to identify with being a smoker. I don't care if there is some weight gain because that is only permanent if I choose. So every time that urge comes I tell myself to focus on something else so as to divert my attention from the current thought of wanting to have a cig. I don't want to attach to that urge anymore and not endure its affect on me.

The Aggravation of Expectation
The Aggravation of Expectation I always have expectations and for the most part they have served me well. Well, that is provided I only weight them upon myself. It seems my greatest disappointments have come from my greatest expectations. And it always seems that they weren’t expectations I placed upon myself but upon others. Still it seems there is a double standard here, and perhaps it is expected, that I have different expectations for myself and for everyone else. And even within those 2 categories there are varying degrees of expectation in every situation.

The Habit of Breaking the Habit
The Habit of Breaking the Habit Yes I say there is a habit to breaking habits. And with every habit we posses there most often is a ritual, or process, we follow. I have broken many habits from the physical to the psychological. First let me say that with every habit I broke the experience was only as difficult as I perceived it to be.
