How we experience reality is determined by the beliefs we hold and the “lenses” through which we choose to view the world. Our Mindset is the key to the lives we lead so are you holding the mindset of a Creator or a Victim?

Do you have expectations of how you think things should be or the need for specific results? Do you feel the need to constantly be around someone? Do you eat just for the sake of eating without being hungry? Are you obsessed with hanging onto things? Do you lack trust in your relationships? People get emotionally attached to many things whether its people, food, objects, work, money or numerous other things. Emotional attachment is like an addiction.
People Pleaser Syndrome By June Blunk People Pleaser Syndrome affects many people. Perhaps, you or someone you love is plagued with this affliction. I am a recovering people pleaser. Just maybe, I will always be attracted to pleasing, but I catch myself when unhealthy urges arise and change my motivation to love. Whether you catch it in its early stages or when its full-blown, either way, mercifully there is a cure. How do you know if you or a loved one is plagued with this dreaded disorder? You are a people pleaser if:r
The integration of self-understanding and love of others is a powerful interface. It is a required journey for every human being regardless of occupation, economic status or belief system. Practicing self awareness, leads to consciousness, the proper awareness outside of oneâs true self. This dynamic practice empowers itâs practitioners to fully embrace joy and purpose beyond task and obligation. It mitigates painful thoughts and emotions. Being self aware provides a new
What is incomplete in your life? What part of YOU are you ignoring? Do you strive on getting your goals listed and work hard to achieve them? This is both admirable and encouraged behaviour to help move you forward. We all know the power of setting and achieving goals. However, something often gets missed out. We brush over or ignore the behaviour patterns that hold us back from achieving those goals in the first place. It can then be difficult to truly move forward if we still have parts of ourself stuck in a lower vibration.
You’ve been exposed to the concept that “everything is energy” and you’ve been told we live in a “vibrational universe”. You’ve been introduced to the Law of Attraction and that to attract what you desire; you need to be in vibrational alignment with your desire. Sure, easy as pie, right? Only, once you begin to analyze the concept of alignment, which we all do, you find yourself asking how does one align their vibration to what they desire?
It never ceases to amaze me how many people hold wildly inaccurate ideas and beliefs about spiritual gifts and the people who openly use them. Let’s start by having a basic understanding of the most common ones in order to release unnecessary fears of the unknown: • Automatic Writing – To have the ability to write without conscious thought.r • Bilocation – The ability to be in two places at the same time.r • Clairvoyance – The ability to perceive information outside the normal human senses.r
A key "Essential" to Showing Up in one's life is that of communication. How we communicate with others, and perhaps more importantly, with ourselves requires a vital understanding of how powerfully it impacts our lives. Your success in all areas of your life is contingent on your ability to communicate effectively. Your personal relationships, home life and professional life are a reflection of your communication skills.
Science has come to an indisputable conclusion: Everything we perceive through our senses as exte al stuff (or matter)—like the coffee table, a bumble bee, the sidewalk, the mountains, your neighbor, the earth, the cosmos—is only electrical signals in our brain. That’s it. Electrical signals! We see a colorful bird in our exte al world. But it’s not out there, it’s in our brain.
Understanding Hypnosis All mammals (including humans) have a mammalian brain. In this brain there is also the reptilian brain. The reptilian brain is located in the Brain Stem, or the upper part of the spine into the back of he head. It is ancient, even before eye development. This is where the Fight/Flight System of survival is located. Hypnosis is the confusing of F/F. Hypnosis is commonly referred to as: The Grazing Zebra Syndrome.
To most, the word “Ego” evokes the following descriptions: egotistical, narcissistic, self-absorbed or selfish. Actually, ego is responsible for many more human tendencies and emotional characteristics that keep us from living connected, authentic and happy lives.
You're already there. This is perhaps one of the greatest messages of all time. For we have taught ourselves that "happiness" or "paradise" is somewhere far from here, something we don't have and can't get to, no matter how much we want it, and no matter how hard we try. But if you've ever been depressed on a beautiful day or joyful on a rainy day, then you know that it is how we feel that determines what we see and how things look. The truth is that paradise is a thought, not a place.
As a Psychic Medium, one of the hardest parts of the job is helping a parent cope with the loss of a child; however, that said, it’s also one of the most rewarding aspects. For the purpose of today’s blog, I am going to focus on the loss that comes in the form of miscarriages and abortions and I hope to provide you with some insight as to my experience with communicating with the child.
Each day, many of us unintentionally place limitations on ourselves by way of our conditioned mind. What we perceive as a purely natural reaction may actually be creating limitations for us and take away our inherent ability to empower ourselves. What is driving your life? We are all on a journey of self-empowerment from day one. But, the question is, are you consciously seeking self-empowerment or working from a conditioned mind?
How does the Ego impact our spiritual and personal growth? The first time I read about the "Ego’s" impact on our spiritual development and higher awareness to this universe, was when I read The Dalai Lama’s book-"the art of happiness". This was by the way the first guide book for self improvement that I have ever read. I was desperate for help, maybe hope. looking for something that will give me the hope that there’s more to life, that things can change dramatically, and tha
Over the course of my lifetime I have had many friends, family and one exhusband whom I had to say goodbye to. Sometimes I was the one being left behind, such as when my sister died. Sometimes I did the leaving such as occurred with my ex. Sometimes we both did the leaving such as with some of my friends. The pain of letting go is not imaginary. It’s physical. Even when both parties agree it’s time to let go, the pain is still there. Letting go is tough because the mind with its disce ment of “it’s time!” can be out of sync with the heart which loves without judgment or reserve.
The vibrational qualities of plants can assist in balancing, relaxing, and energizing your aura and chakras. Each member of the plant kingdom has a unique gift to offer and can support you on your journey of manifesting your highest path on earth. Allowing herbal energies to assist your personal growth can help you connect to the beauty of nature within and around you. Drinking herbal teas and elixirs, using herbal-based body care products, and acknowledging the plants growin
In the past I have written many posts and articles about human energy and how it relates to healing and transformation. But now we stand on the cusp of a great shift. This shift has been referred to by the Mayans, Hopis, Hindis, Tibetans and many other ancient cultures. Current predictions are that we reach the cusp of this shift on Dec 21, 2012. These years leading up to this cusp have a heightened energetic intensity to them. Many of my clients want to know: Exactly how does a world-wide shift happen anyway? What is happening and what should I be doing during this time?
In New York City, we tend to think (affectionately) of pigeons as kind of dirty, irritating birds—-but no one can deny that they can fly like the wind. Pigeons are sort of like NYC itself—stinky, infuriating, but still soaring. But you should never underestimate a pigeon. Because a homing pigeon can be transported 500 miles from its home roost, and as soon as it’s released, it will fly straight back there. Pretty much no matter where or how far away from home they are. With very little hesitation.
When someone says, “I love you,” it really means, “Do you love me?” What I’ve just shared with you is a quite profound statement from a movie set in Dublin, Ireland, in which the complexity of romantic love is portrayed. Long ago the German playwright Goethe, author of the play Faust, raised the issue of what love really is. One of Goethe’s characters asks, "Do you love me?" A straightforward question, right? Well, maybe not quite so straightforward. The other responds, “What could that possibly have to do with you?”
Marriage is not just the act of two people making their relationship public and permanent. It is the promise which two people make to each other to enter into a bond which will constantly require growth from both parties in order to stay intact. For many reasons, marriage in this day and age is increasingly cut short by divorce. Couples often venture into marriage with the illusion that their relationship and feelings for each other will never change. But relationships are a dynamic, mutable force. And loving someone is something we learn to do. It is something we must practice.
Every one automatically attracts to himself just what he is, and you may set it down that wherever you are, however intolerable the situation may be, it is just where you belong. There is no power in the Universe but yourself that can get you out of it. Some one may help you on the road to realization, but substantiality and permanence can come only through the consciousness of your own life and thought. Man must bring himself to a point where there is no misfortune, no calam
Many people come to me and complain that life is too complicated. That they never feel like anything is going right. That as hard as they try to fix a situation it remains unresolved. Blah, Blah, Blah, … you get the picture as we all have felt this way a time or two – some more frequent than others. I can understand, appreciate, and even empathize where their frustration and disappointment is coming from; yet, my answer, no matter the excuse, seems to be – “Get out of your own way.”
Would you like to live with more ease and joy and magic? Would you choose to be more aware of what limits you from receiving more contribution (from others, from the earth, from the Universe…) in your life?
I was always one to not pay much attention to all I’ve read about affirmations seeing them as merely lip service and not of much value in my life. Louise Hay writes a lot about affirmations and is a firm believe in them as are many other teachers and writers. Recently, I attended the I Can Do It Toronto Conference and had the great pleasure to listen to several of the many great teachers that were presenting throughout the weekend.
It’s essential to be able to distinguish the difference between our subconscious experiences and our superconscious experiences. Subconscious experiences are related to the physical body whereas superconscious experiences consist of sense-free thinking. For example the concept of “circle” has no basis in our body but is an example of the first step into the superconscious, spirit world. These concepts do not belong to us. They belong to all Human Beings. Or think about words like “if” which have no material basis.
Where were you when on that terrible day? Until ten years ago, during my lifetime at least, that question almost always pertained to the day the shots rang out and killed Kennedy; his presidency the seeming symbol of refreshed and restored hope to a nation that had been bruised, bloodied and battered by two successive World Wars. All those lives lost. All those sons and daughters, fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters. Perished. Some burned alive even. And, then, a chance at rebirth. Until shots rang out from a grassy knoll and killed it.
“Real” means the perceptions that most people agree on. From the moment we are born, we are taught that most of our perceptions are (and should be) the same as our neighbor’s. What we perceive as a street sign or an orangutan will most surely be agreed upon by the lady across the street! That agreement is called Consensus Reality (or CR for short). And we have also learned to worry that there might be something terribly WRONG if there is some disagreement with others about what we perceive. We keep quiet about our differences in perception.
Beside using muscle testing, we can also use a dowsing tool called pendulum. A pendulum is an object suspended by a cord or string. We can use pendulum as a tool to access and identify information from our sub-conscious mind, to trace any limited belief, perception and judgement that may be blocking us to freely experience and express abundance in our life. Benefits of Using Pendulum * Access Sub-conscious Memory. * Identify Hidden Information in Memory Bank. * Trace Limited Belief, Perception and Judgment.r
We have all been equipped with an internal compass to navigate the complexities of our physical reality. It is by far the most sophisticated and valuable tool you could have possibly asked for. From making difficult decisions regarding a moral dilemma to knowing how to treat others, your inner compass points toward the most energy efficient and effective response and course of action. Trusting your inner compass will inevitably guide you toward being the best that you can be. So what and where is this inner compass?
There is an old adage, “Life is what you make it,” and I couldn’t agree more. Life doesn’t need to be so complex; in fact, it can be easy and stress free! Sounds, too good to be true, right? Do you know why that is? It’s because we come from a society where we have been taught the harder we work the more we get and the more we acquire the more successful we will be. This age old mentality is WRONG!
How tolerant do you consider yourself? And how much of your true feelings and needs do you sacrifice in the name of tolerance? If you look it up on the dictionary, tolerance is filled with positive definitions and intolerance only with negative descriptions.
During these times of economical problems, environmental crisis, moral degeneration, spiritless leadership, people are looking for answers and looking for purpose. This is nothing new, of course. Although perhaps due to the precariousness of the human race as we raced past the millennium, seekers appear to have increased in numbers.
Part 1. Introduction According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “By the year 2020, depression is projected to reach 2nd place of the ranking of DALYs [Disability-adjusted life year] calculated for all ages, both sexes. Today, depression is already the 2nd cause of DALYs in the age category 15-44 years for both sexes combined.” Depression was once considered a psychiatric disorder, however with the swelling number of people from all demographics who are affected by depression, a broader view is necessary.
So you’ve made the decision to be more positive and upbeat in your life as a step to feeling happier and maybe achieving some goals you’ve set. And it’s all going really well, until you step into an environment, perhaps your job, your family situation or some other experience, that is full of negativity. What do you do then? The first thing to look at is what makes the environment negative. If we look at it from our own perspective which is how we look at all of life, then our perspective (or judgment) is what makes it negative.
BE YOUR OWN GURU rn (After allâ¦who was the Buddhaâs Buddha?) rn By: Mike Dailey rn rnâBelieve nothing, no matter where you read it, rnor who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with rnyour own reason and your own common sense." rn~Buddha rnGuâ means darkness and âRu means remover. So you must become the remover of darkness in your life. In other words, you become your own âGu-Ruâ. But how does one accomplish that? The first step is self-awaren
How often do we find ourselves in situations where we really could do with a helping hand in some way, but feel uncomfortable about asking for, or accepting, help? We sometimes behave in a detached manner, projecting an attitude of seeming superiority that keeps us aloof from people, ensuring they don't get too close ...
As I headed off to the market this morning, I realized how much I actually enjoy this simple task. I love walking along browsing all the stalls to see what fruit or vegetables are in season checking the prices and talking with the vendors. People are smiling and talking, the sound of music comes from a gentleman sitting on a chair in the centre of the walkway playing an accordion.
Have you heard about Bitcoin? What about Litecoin, or Dogecoin? Do you know what these coins have in common? They are all decentralized encrypted currencies that allow for free instantaneous transfers of funds worldwide. Why is this relevant to you? You may have noticed there is a stupendously large gap between the rich and the poor in this world. Centralized banking is a very powerful tool used by the wealthy to continue dominating a higher percentage of the global market. (More information on that can be found at the link below.)
The journey of self-discovery for many gets lost in translation because one is seeking internal happiness in the exte al world. In other words, they are looking toward their outer experiences to tell them how they should feel, think, and act in that very moment. Yet, how this experience is perceived is based on beliefs held in your subconscious mind formed by past conditioning and perceptions.
Reiki what it is & how it works by Peter Mark Adams www.petermarkadams.com petermarkadams@gmail.com Introduction
Cause and effect are but two sides of thought; and Spirit is both Cause and Effect. Prayer is its own answer. Now, if the one who prays only partly believes, then there is a tendency to set an idea in motion; if the next day he wholly doubts, this idea must be wiped out. In dealing with Mind, we are dealing with a Force which we cannot fool. We can fool ourselves; we can fool others; but we cannot cheat Principle out of the slightest shadow of our most subtle concept; for thi
My introduction to spirituality came in the summer of 1968 after I read Paramahansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi and started meditating. By the time I returned to college in September, my world had turned upside down. My previous values and ambitions had vanished and I was looking for a new, more spiritually meaningful lifestyle. The problem was, Yogananda's teachings didn't really resonate with me on a deep level, so I felt a bit like a ship without a rudder.
I have question for you and we want you to be completely honest with yourself. Does the idea of being complete scare you or conjure up images of something too hard, too much or too final? Hang on before your inner dialogue kicks in and puts all sorts of thoughts and ideas in your head. When referring to being complete we mean the fullness of the word. Completion of something undone.
I’m sure I’ve talked before about how other people can feel our energy. It’s not always what we are saying or the volume or tone of our voice that people react to. It’s more often the energy with which the words are spoken.
I believe suffering is a choice we make for ourselves. Like most of our choices, it is an unconscious one. Suffering is present when I refuse to accept what is. I find myself suffering when my mind is entertaining an unconscious stream of downward spiraling thoughts. Thoughts of what the future holds or what I should have or not have done in the past will almost certainly lead me to suffering. Too often we humans have the habit of refusing to accept what is. This might be as
The system of living for the Cherokee meant being surrounded by demonstrations of value and examples of respect. That respect goes out to everything as being valuable. The knowledge that all Creation is a living ecosystem and that even the âbodyâ we call the Universe is the transforming of ourselves. We live âinâ and âthroughâ the Great Spirit. Everything is âaliveâ and therefore is life and needs respect and care. We are inner-connected and outer-dependent on
Trust your intuition ~ lead with your heart and soul ~ take actions on your decisions to change your entire life that deprogramming and reprogramming yourself will stop allowing your subconscious mind from stopping you from your true path of who you are, what you truly want, what you're truly passionate and compassionate about, what you truly love, what you truly are worthy of, and to stop the old programming and negative EGO from destroying your life and listening to others old programming and negative EGO'S as well of what they are still being hurt and constrained of.
Extraordinary times, like the ones we are currently living, tend to bring out the best and the worst in everyone. Tendencies, beliefs, and even decisions get easily polarized because there are forces at hand that push us to make tough choices—about relationships, work, finances, health, and social issues.
Throughout the years, there have been adages hinting to a happy more fulfilled life, but many have been misinterpreted or simply discarded. “Love is blind.”
Well it has been one hell of a week of changing, shifting tides on the world stage, as the old system of power surrenders to the growing call for establishing a new world order. The voice of freedom, equality and universal justice is sounding loud and clear around the world, and cannot be suppressed any longer. The old world system of oppression is collapsing under the pressure from a united community passionate about living with honor and dignity. This morning brings wonder
An aura of a person is usually the basis for aura psychic readings. In the paranormal sphere and several modes of mystical rituals, an aura is a theme of faint, glowing and incandescent energy enclosing a person or object, like a bright corona, aureole or crown light. The implication of such a bright light that signifies a person of specific power, holiness or saintliness can gives out significant messages of what would transpire in the future, what has transpired in the pas
I know what you’re all thinking. “What did she say? Is she serious?” As a matter of fact, I am very serious. Spring has sprung, and in this season of rebirth and regeneration, why not take advantage of what Nature has to offer? We all know that being out in Nature has a calming effect. Nature is abundant with Universal Life Force Energy. It is this very energy from which we are all made. When we feel stressed, lethargic or just out of sorts, drawing in more of this Life Force Energy has a balancing and healing effect.
Here I am again, talking about beliefs, but they are such a key ingredient in how we are in the world, that it bears repeating – over and over again! Our belief system is what creates the blueprint for our lives. We watch our parents and those around us as children and we decide what works for others. We then choose which beliefs will work for us and we adopt them as our own. And off we go into the world, armed with everything we think we need to get along. Eventually, we start to realize that things aren’t working out quite the way we expected them to.
At the present time, there are many different types of esoteric philosophies that are masquerading as Kabbalah. To get to the bottom of how "real" Kabbalah began, it is important to understand the history of this fascinating Jewish mystical tradition.
Healing, then, takes place to the degree that we send down the right kind of thoughts into subjectivity. This does not mean that we must sit around holding thoughts. We do not hold a seed in our hand when we wish to plant it, and it is the same in healing; we do not hold the thought but seek to realize it and let it work. By thinking consciously and with deep feeling, we implant the right idea in Mind, and Mind reproduces this idea as effect in the body. We must realize tha
By Linney Elder The subject of betrayal seems to pop up all around me with people in various relationships. I got to thinking about the nature of betrayal. What is it really? In fact, is it real at all? What is real? I think it's a choice of which doors to open and a choice of which doors to walk through and close ...
A Course in Weight Loss: 21 Spiritual Lessons for Surrendering Your Weight Forever by Marianne Williamson An Official Hay House Book Review By: William Constantine Typically, I am excited when a new book from Hay House comes for me to review; however, when I received Marianne Williamson's “A Course in Weight Loss”, I was less than enthusiastic.
Emotions are the way that our energy selves tell us what is going on energetically. The best way to work with emotions is to think of them as messengers and E-nergy-in-Motion. By noticing them and acknowledging them they then move through. Below are 5 emotions and their energetic messages.
Ana (not her real name*) came to see me because she was having second thoughts about her job and relationship and was looking for direction. She had the desire to switch to a holistic career and had taken some reiki classes. She also remembered being able to see people’s auras when she was a kid and was looking for someone to show her how to tap into her intuition and psychic abilities.
Why? This is a question which anyone whose life is touched by suicide will find themselves asking. Why would anyone willingly cause his or her own death? The answer to this question is simple but the grief experienced by anyone who is dealing with suicide is anything but simple.
What is the relationship between Self-Knowledge and Self-Reflection? Snow White comes to mind when I take the time to self-reflect, âMirror, mirror on the wall, who has the most self-knowledge of them all?â The mirror then replied, âLook within yourself to find the answer.â Okay, I know the previous dialogue was never actually said in the Snow White film but that is my reinterpretation of them when thinking of how one can discover self-knowledge. I'd like to emphasise
Grape flavored Kool Aid might not be the only thing feeling fried as we begin this July. Although this month will seem like a picnic compared to last, that still doesn’t mean that we won’t be feeling fatigued from dealing with the dual June eclipses and now having to take cover from one last Johnny Come Fate-ly. This next Solar eclipse comes courtesy a New Moon rising on July 1. The Curley of the three, this eclipse will shake and rattle, no matter how you roll. No Moe, No Moe! But it is a Friday.
God is called divine thought because his nature and form is subtle. But great scriptural scholars proclaim that God is beyond the grasp of our mind and intellect. Spiritual seers to some extent have detailed Godâs form and yet have accepted the limitations of human speech and thought as far as describing the true form of God is concerned. Hence Indian Rishis said âNeti-Netiâ meaning âGod is not this, God is not thisâ¦.â.The fact of the matter is that God being so s
What is charisma? If you meet a charismatic person you will never forget this meeting. In the presence of a charismatic person you experience a strange, invisible but clearly recognized pull towards this person. You cannot see this energy. You cannot see this power. But you definitely feel the strong attraction to this person. Something attracts rnyou. Something pulls you. This power attracts you. This energy pulls you towards this person. Something amazes you in this person.
At this particular point in time, there is not an accepted, unanimous, biological answer to the questio "what are dreams?”. The reason we don’t have an accepted answer to that question is due to the fact that at this point, modern, Newtonian based science does not recognize the element of “spirit” as it relates to physical life. Because of this, though we can see what portions of the brain are active or dormant during sleep, the search for the answer to why we dream is a quest left to the realm of psychological and philosophical theory.r
Far too many people subscribe to the belief that they are their body, their identity, their beliefs, etc. Once more, they are seeking individuality — what makes them stand a part from all others. It is because of this many are constantly living a life of comparison in an effort to create a life or meaning. Yet, what this insinuates is that life lacks meaning to start with and nothing can be further from the truth. The truth is nothing exists outside of you, that their is no place that you are not, and that all things are projections manifested by you and representative of you.
Your body is an incredible organism that is made to sense the environment around it and make sense of it. There are far senses: vision, hearing, taste, smell and touch and there are near senses: tactile, vestibular and proprioceptive. The near senses are for providing information from within your bodies such as where you are located in space; orchestrating balance and movement; and interpreting sensations of heat and cold. In your embryonic state, they develop first and serve as the foundation for the far senses.
If you’ve ever been stuck in a rut of inertia before, you probably know the sense of helpless futility that can take over your life. You want your life to change, but you feel powerless to do anything about it yourself. You may find yourself constantly making plans to improve your life, but never quite getting around to taking action because it seems too difficult.
Modern medicine has seen a lot of changes in recent years, but still, the dominant focus deals exclusively with specific physical ailments once they’ve already happened, rather than the prevention of them. Learning to access and to utilize the intensely symbiotic relationship that exists between the mind and the body can help you to maintain a healthy life. Here are five practical ways to achieve optimal health that your doctor isn’t likely to share with you:
As I discuss many times in my memoir, Fine…ly, I’ve been a creep-magnet far too often in my life. I share a lot of stories in regard to this odd phenomenon in my book, but I couldn’t possibly share them all or my book would have lost its focus. There have been several instances of people wanting to possess me. I don’t know why. As I look back, I can see a pattern. The “Undesirables” always managed to worm their way into my life at the most vulnerable times in my life. If I k
I was a child of the 60's when I first learned about the dawning of the Age of Aquarius...I would listen to the lyrics of the songs from Hair all the time. "When the moon is in the Seventh Houser And Jupiter aligns with Marsr Then peace will guide the planetsr And love will steer the stars" It was an exciting time and I looked forward to living in this New Age of Aquarius when I grew up. Everywhere we looked the world was experiencing massive transformation in consciousness
By Linney Elder So…what invaluable lessons have I learned this week? Well, for one…I am definitely not Superwoman! That myth has been well and truly blown out the window. What I have realised once again is the value of setting boundaries and when it's totally appropriate to simply say "no". All my adult life I've been ...
Sometimes it can seem as if there’s nothing you can do about your stress level. When you are operating from your logical brain, the brain says things like… “The bills aren’t going to stop coming, there will never be more hours in the day for all of the errands I need to run, and my career and family responsibilities must be done or calamity will strike”.

Taking Personal responsibility for your life may may sound rather simplistic and obvious, but very few people delve deep into its true meaning. It is was what caused me to have my "aha" moment. It was the catalyst for my rebirth, and my awakening that created the idea for my book and brand, Showing Up.
Have you ever watched children play and envied the focus they bring to everything they do? Children live entirely in the moment, unburdened by the past or worry about the future. In early childhood, we are naturally assertive in standing up for ourselves and speaking the truth and there is a joyousness, and aliveness we observe in children that we seem to lose as we age. The wounds that form from the variations of dysfunction present in so many families today create a shift
Dark Days and Lonely Nights……. The dark pit of grief that yawned below my feet threatening to swallow me whole for weeks after my loved one's death from cancer is finally fading and the overwhelming grief is subsiding to a dull ache in the middle of my chest. People kept telling me that time would bring healing. It ...
We live in a world filled with noise. Sometimes it can be hard to focus, to truly focus on everything around us. We find ourselves tuning things out. Tuning out our spouses, tuning out the children, tuning out the construction across the street, tuning out the planes landing at a near by airport, tuning out our bosses and co-workers. We tune out much of what is around us and live in our minds. But our minds are not much better. Soo many thoughts, past, present and future. What it comes down to, is we are really not LIVING in the moment.r
If you know of Joan Rivers the comedian you probably are aware her catch phrase is, can we talk? So, emotional upset: can we talk?, borrowing from her. Being upset is a part of life and for some folks emotional upset is a larger part of their life than is necessary. Are you one of those people? Emotional Upset: Can We Talk? One of the ways to begin to observe your emotional patterns is to ask yourself a few questions like… Are you emotionally upset more than you want to be? How often are you in a bad mood? How often are you in a good mood?r
