There are many benefits of feeling connected with the Divine. These benefits include--and are certainly not limited to--increased abundance, well-being, peace of mind, optimism, and/or faith. You do not need to “set time aside” in your life to connect with God, although it’s great if you can.

When you believe in yourself, anything is possible. It's nice if someone else believes in us, and for some that can sure help them to become more confident, but ultimately you have to believe in you for change to happen-because it's what you believe will happen in your life that will happen, not what everybody else thinks.
Why YOU are amazing: Which one’s are true for you? Please leave me a message in the comment box below and include any other reason too. Thank you! 1. The French Algerian philosopher, Albert Camus, expounded the philosophy known as absurdism. According to absurdism, although life is meaningless human beings are faced with the dilemma of hankering for meaning in a meaningless world. Camus says that there are three ways of resolving this dilemma: 1) Commit suicide. (Camus rejects this as cowardly.) 2) Believe in a transcendental reality beyond the absurd. (Camus rejects this as philosophical suicide because it amounts to the destruction of reason, which is just as fatal as the suicide of the body.) 3)Accept the Absurd.
Assumptions are made too often and ordinarily will not get anyone too far while trying to get to the bottom of most issues that arise. For some, assuming answers, rather than allowing facts to be discovered, can come naturally to an individual. This person may have used this method for so long without ever fully comprehending the core source of why they assume or how others feel when the inclination is performed.

Sometimes the conflict appears subtle but at other times it is outright war. People have grown up in a sea of discord and have been socialized to expect it and accept it. In other words, fighting is "normal."
We recently received a phone call from one of our clients. She was frantic. She couldn't get it all done. There were so many deadlines. There was so much to produce, and there was so little time. We had a conversation with her and within 10 minutes, she gave up feeling overwhelmed, had gotten back to work and by the end of the day informed us that all of the things that she thought were impossible to get done in time for the deadlines had been completed impeccably and in fact, she had even accomplished more than she dreamt was possible.
December 1, 1974, I was 22 years old and about to give birth to my first child, a little girl already named Maegan. After many hours of hard labor and asking for pain relief I was given a spinal block for anesthesia at the very end of the birth process. The OB/GYN administered it himself instead of following protocol and paging the on call anesthesiologist. He gave it to me too high in the spine and it anesthetized my heart and lungs which shut them down. My then husband was asked to leave and he passed out right outside the labor room door.
It was a cold sunny day in New Jersey and the first thin layers of ice were forming on our pond. We were scheduled to go to Pilates that day, our private exercise class with a trainer, but we liked doing some cardio workout first. Usually, weather permitting, we would take a walk through town before our class. Even with the sun out the cold was not appealing, so we opted for a more rigorous half-hour of exercise on our treadmill and elliptical machines. Here is what happened:
In this world where technology has eclipsed our humanity, many of us are looking for a way to operate in our lives that fulfills our spiritual nature. People have tried different religions or disciplines with varying degrees of success or failure. They have taken motivational workshops to try to discover some meaning to apply to their lives and many have come away wondering, "Is this all there is?" This vague sense of emptiness or dissatisfaction, can permeate our lives, even when we accomplish the goals we set for ourselves.

Selflessness caters characteristics more profound within the human psyche than most others that can ever be described or expressed by an individual. One must completely engage their inner standers of compassion to aid another in moments of weakness or hopelessness. The merciful services rendered in absolute trust and self-sacrifice depicts the sheer intent for selflessness.

Are you proud of yourself that you no longer lose your temper, bite your finge ails, or have a messy desk? Perhaps you feel as if you have finally arrived since you no longer wait until the last minute to "do your homework". But have you ever thought that you were finished with a pesky old habit and then unexpectedly find that it is there all over again? You know: You thought you kicked a habit once and for all and suddenly, for no apparent reason, you are nibbling those nails, or procrastinating once again? Bummed when it happens? Don't worry – Think Peppermint!
Why understanding each others values can help resolve conflicts. Assuming that you have taken your time to identify your values, it's very important to become clear about the hierarchy they are in as well. Why is that? Because we can share values with the people we surround ourselves with, but have completely different ways of living them depending on what is most important to us. To show an example; Lets say that you and your new-found romantic partner shares these top values; Love, Health, Adventure, Fun and Wealth. Your hierarchy might look like this: 1. Wealth

Serenity, well-being, feeling OK being you, feeling good in your own skin, not having to second guess your choices, trusting that you will do the right thing, these are but a few of the things we have found while working with people that most folks are striving for. People say they want inner peace but are afraid that what they might have to change about themselves will threaten what they hold to be true. So even though they say they want inner peace, they are afraid to relax into the moment and discover what else is possible.
Did anyone ever say something to you that you found offensive? What did you do: walk away in a huff ... talk back to him or her ... "stand up" for yourself and then feel lousy later? Take the "high road" and feel crummy later? How about lying awake at night, rehearsing all of the better things you could have said ... smarter things you should have said ... or plotting the really good comebacks that you will lay on the offensive party next time you get the chance?
What you already "know" is keeping you from discovering what is possible. There is a story about a college professor who is interested in learning about Zen that demonstrates this idea:
If you're not relating with God at the level you'd like, or if you're just plain "stuck" when it comes to praying, below are some suggestions you may want to consider. If you wish, you can incorporate one of these suggestions into your current prayer practice, or you can use one or more of the suggestions to help you begin talking with God if you haven't already done so.nnHere are a few suggestions to help you talk with God and deepen your relationship.nn* Begin with gratitud
At age 14 I was a willowy little thing with long blonde hair and braces. Not yet old enough to drive, I was grown-up enough to ride the bus from our town of Gresham, Oregon to downtow Portland for my orthodontist appointments. I liked going to Portland - it made me feel worldly and mature. On the way home I frequently stopped at the street corner flower vendors for a bunch of bright mini carnations to bring back for a teacher or the school librarian – just a little gift to give something back to those who were investing in me.
Do you know how to quiet that voice in your head and stop its constant chatter. Are you aware that voice is not you, but your thoughts, some call it ego, masquerading as you. As humans, we seem to travel a wacky backwards path to learning life's lessons. Take, for instance, learning how to live in the present moment - the only moment there truly is. Most of us have to go backwards and forwards to learn how to get right back to where we are - the here and now. We try to live in the past, or we try to quickly get to the future. The million-dollar question is why do we do that?
Happiness is a very popular theme these days and we guess it always has been. From the time we were children, we have been taught that it is better to be happy. There must be a higher love/Without it life is wasted time.” Those are the opening words to one of my favorite Steve Winwood songs. What could a higher love mean in your life — in the life of your clients? Often, during a speaking engagement, I include a potent and important word that has people flinch — “Love.” They try to manage their flinching by adjusting their seats so that their neighbor or I won’t notice. But, however subtle the movement, there it is. I’m not sure wha

Below is an article investigating a driving force in people's lives, their agendas. There are agendas that people are aware of and then there are those of which they are unaware. It is the latter that causes the mischief that shows up in our daily lives. In this column, we are going to identify some of the typical types of agendas the two of us have seen during the course of working with people over the past 12 years. It has been our experience that when people see what they have been doing mechanically and don't judge what they see, they then have a choice to continue their actions or not.
What do you think when you see a stranger look at you, for only a moment, yet smile at you with a type of grace and almost gratitude? Does it bother you ? Do you turn around to make sure they are actually smiling at you or assume they have seen someone they know behind you? Or do you simply smile back with the same emotion they have given to you?
This month is the 10th anniversary of the tragedy of 9/11, 2001. Below is the transcript of an interaction we had with a participant at a Monday Night Alive! shortly after those devastating events. As we read it, we felt that that interaction is still appropriate and applicable to the lives of people today. So we are sharing this article with you to read with fresh eyes.
Here I will relate my first big spiritual awakening and experience of oneness. I was in college in Vermont, having a bad day. After classes and meetings with teachers, I went back to my dorm room and sat down to meditate. When I sat down, I just surrendered. Not that I knew what surrender was but looking back on it, that was what I did. I didn’t practice a meditation technique; I just accepted all of the insanity that had accumulated that day and gave up, not holding on to anything, not figuring anything out.
The truth of the matter is that I myself or Dherbs.Com has never healed anybody. This is the gospel truth! I have only healed myself and no one else. I don't have the power to heal anyone other than myself. No one can heal another person. No one! To do so would violate Divine law and order. Only God and the human body can heal. To say someone else or some product healed or cured you of a disease is to give your power away to something or someone outside of yourself. Always re
Before we begin to discuss this powerful technique to attain self realization, we need to understand what is keeping us from self realization. We have to realize what we are constantly doing that separates us more and more from our own experience of oneness.

Several years ago my husband and I went to Hawaii to visit our daughter who lived there with her husband and their little daughter. My son-in-law is in the Navy and they were stationed there. They loved Hawaii and even though they were to be transferred to Jacksonville, FL for three years, I knew they would want to return to Hawaii as soon as they could choose their next duty station. On the way home from Hawaii my husband and I discussed how we could support them in buying a home in Hawaii.

We were at an appointment at a local business and the owner, Carol, blurted out, "Do you lock your car while you are here?" We replied, "Yes, always." Carol then continued with what was so obviously on her mind.
Surround yourself with supportive energy and remove yourself from draining people! You do not need to get unfocused and confused by getting involved in other people's dramas and beliefs about life. People around you will most certainty be scared of you when you begin to radiate the powerful being that you are, and they will try to pull you down, but there is no need for you to let them. In fact, you cannot help them if you dip into the negativity with them.
Bob Pike, author of "The Fun Minute Manager" , explains that bosses need to lighten up and that they should strive to create an office culture that is fun and enjoyable. He adds that bringing fun into the workplace reduces employee turnover, increases creativity and innovation, makes employees more productive, and it’s good for the bottom line. A fun work environment is one in which regular activities are scheduled that are designed to uplift people’s spirits and remind them of their value to their boss and to the organization as a whole.

I am always fascinated by what people say about others. Inevitably, what people say about others says mountains about them. I remember one student of mine who loved to complain about his wife's communication ability. He loved to tell the class, "She's got an attitude. She never makes sense. She ...

One emotion and state of mind that most people feel is the most difficult to deal with is the sense of not having any clarity about anything. We feel powerless, clueless and frustrated by not knowing what we want, why things are as they are, what to do, which way to go and we can place ourselves in a very negative space by obsessing or feeling guilt over not knowing. Thinking that we should know, that everybody else seem to have a grand plan for their lives while we don't even know what to have for dinner.
Many of us do not feel our emotions fully, especially emotions we tend to think of as negative; for instance, anger, sadness, fear, hate, doubt, shame, jealousy, and resentment. Regardless of why we do not feel our emotions, the end result is the same. We:nn* Lose personal power and ...
Do you remember when you learned to walk? Of course not. But whether you remember it or not, you had a great teacher: gravity. Gravity is the greatest teacher. It is never angry. It is never frustrated with you when you fall off balance. It is implacable, impartial, relentless, and uncompromising. You cannot pacify gravity by being on good behavior. Gravity is never sentimental.

Recently, a fellow came to see us who considers himself an adult. According to the story of his life, he has survived his painful childhood. But his interpretation of the childhood which he survived comes from the distortions and misrepresentations of a child’s mind. Let’s be specific. “David” has spent many years seeing different therapists and psychiatrists, examining his childhood as a way of explaining his adult failings, depressions, and sense of insufficiency, inadequacy, and insecurity.
What if you are doing your life perfectly? What if the things that you think are failings on your part are not really failings at all? Has it ever occurred to you that as a child you perfectly absorbed information from your environment, learning wholeheartedly when your brain was not yet able to disce truth from fiction nor to apply reason and thought? Our friends Amy and Andy have a beautiful little boy, Alex. We were privileged to be at the hospital when he was born and have watched him on his journey from infancy to early childhood.
Rose's soul was crying out to God, "Is there a man in the world for me?" And the answer she received was a resounding "No!" "Ah, but there is one. Love him and lead him to Me. Then we will see if there is a man in the world for you." And so bega Rose's quest for her soul mate.
In his bestselling book, "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People", Stephen R. Covey lists the seven habits that people need to adopt in order to succeed. These seven habits are the following: • Habit 1: Be Proactive • Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind • Habit 3: Put First Things First • Habit 4: Think Win/win • Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood • Habit 6: Synergize • Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw The first habit, which states that you should be proactive, lays the foundation for the other six habits.
You may have heard the word kundalini but never experienced or even knew what it was. Kundalini normally lies dormant in most people but for those trained, it often awakens with a vengeance. The word kundalini means coil in Sanskrit. It describes the coil of 3 circles in every individual. It is an energy source that cleanses the charkas and develops them into full-blooming lotus forms. The awakening of your energy source to cleanse these until it reaches the crown chakra located at the top of your head.
It was still cool at 6:30 in the morning as we strolled barefoot with Susan dow Costa Rica's Manuel Antonio beach. We were in the midst of one of our Costa Rican Self Discovery Adventures that we hold each winter. People come from all over the world to join us and use it as a time to get away from the normal routine of one's life and relax. Sometimes we are on a roll in our lives where everything feels like it's going really well and flowing effortlessly. And then we add something new - something that is out of the norm from our every day life. We stretch a little bit out of our comfort zone and expect things to continue flowing. And sometimes they do. But sometimes we come across obstacles where we didn't expect them to be. Sometimes we even come across road blocks that seem to be right in the way of reaching our dreams.
Are You Tired of Being Taken for Granted? “Sing like no one's listening, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody's watching, and live like its heaven on earth.”-Mark Twain It happens every single day and whether we like it or not, we cannot control it. Tao Te Ching: Verse 76 A man is born gentle and weak. At his death he is hard and stiff. Green plants are tender and filled with sap. At their death they are withered and dry. Therefore the stiff and unbending is the way of death. The gentle and yielding is the way of life. Thus an army without flexibility never wins a battle. A tree that is unbending is easily broken. The hard and strong will fall. The soft and weak will overcome. What is Lao Tzu asking us to consider in Verse 76? It seems he is asking us to be flexible

It has expanded to other topics since its inception in 1984, and has had speakers from all over the world who are innovators in their field. A quick search on YouTube on TED Talks, and you are there.

Have you been experiencing that lately that people are always late to always late for meetings? That's the law of attraction in action; somehow you haven't been true to your own values. It's never about the other people really; it's about us being firm and clear about what we want and staying true to ourselves. And we are the ones who teach others how to treat us, it's we that need to set up some boundaries and let others know about them. We don't need to tell them about our preferences or anything, but we do need to act accordingly to what is true to us.
It's about self realization, and to come to the realization that before we can 'have' anything, we must feel it inside. Because everything is from and through you and me, we can't give what we don't realize we have. I say realize, because the world is create from within, with the power of our minds, and when the heart and mind is congruent, or in alignment; magic happens. If there is only mind and no heart, we can forget about true happiness. It's about awareness. Awareness about our thoughts and feelings, and awareness of the awareness behind them. Who is the thinker?
Self realization is the realization of the Self, or Atman. The Self can be related to the experience of impersonal being, or the sense that you are pure consciousness, or that you are silence itself or awareness itself. Self realization is also the freedom from the sense of being a personal “me.” You transcend your ego identity and realize that you always were and always will be consciousness itself.

Anger-although a normal emotion that can be a powerful signal that something is wrong--can be a very uncomfortable feeling. By developing skills that will enable you to express your needs and desires in a manner that displays respect for yourself and for others, you'll be managing your anger effectively. In addition, by lessening the intensity of your anger through holistic methods, you'll be able to calm yourself down so that you can be tranquil and relaxed when you communicate your feelings to others. Here are four holistic methods you can use to help you release anger: 1.
This game changes your universe. It’s portable, simple to use in your daily life plus it’s empowering. Play it and you can liberate joy from within. It gets to the heart of problems you have with others so long standing issues can be cleared. “Perception is projection,” means that whatever you perceive to be outside yourself is ---on some level--- part of you. Jung summarised this when he said, “you marry your unconscious mind and then spend the rest of your life projecting out onto it”.

Definition... A subliminal message by definition is, a signal or message designed to pass below the normal limits of ones perception. For example it might be inaudible to the conscious mind (but audible to the subconscious mind) or might be an image transmitted very briefly and unperceived on a conscious level yet perceived on a subconscious level. Subliminal messages are messages in the form of written and spoken words and images or pictures. Subliminal comes from the Latin word "sub" meaning under and "limen" which means threshold. Your mind is a valuable tool that most people don't use to its fullest. If everyone used it to the maximum capability, there would be no more war, illness or anger. We simply access a small portion. This is not true of every civilization or person. Some use means to increase their awareness and access the supe atural powers of their mind. It proves that we all are capable. Taoist of China had a background that acknowledged mysticism and control of the elements. Like many early civilizations, they practiced shamanism.
If you are really passionate about spiritual awakening then spiritual discipline is most important. For spiritual awakening to happen there must be that build up of energy and there must be that in-your-face awareness of yourself. You see, the moment your go for that beer, that glass of wine, that bag of junk food, that sexual release you escape your experience and you lose that build up of energy that was there inside you. The escape feels good. It feels like a relief, but then afterwards, that Shakti is gone and you are left feeling empty and depressed.
Guardian angels have long been watching over us. Since time began, and in every culture, angels have been with us in one form or another. Representations of the angelic realms tend to come to us at times of personal, spiritual awakening. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that records of angelic interventions are found in almost all the systems of religious belief from Christianity and Judaism to Islam. Both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible contain plenty of angel stor
This one word of one syllable, this little four-letter word causes so much trouble and prompts so many people to ask questions of its nature and its hold on us. Most questions about fear have to do with getting rid of it, overcoming it, fighting it, and last but not least, being free of it.
Are you living an authentic life? When you look at yourself in the mirror, do you know and like who you see? Is there anything that you aren't being truly honest about with yourself or others? Is the "you" that you represent to the world the "you" that you really are? I thought it was interesting the other day when a friend posted on Facebook that they sure hoped they could live up to their profile there. In one of his stand-up routines, Chris Rock talks about dating and how we tend to send our representative to make a great impression.
