If you thought about this question for just a second, the first thoughts that would pop into your mind would be, “my family”, “my children” or “my spouse”. Now take the time to look a little deeper, is the way you are living your life indicating that you are actually living your life, like those three areas are most important to you. Or is the picture that is reflected back at you telling a very different story? Most people are very quick to state what they value most, as being their relationships or families. When in reality their deeds are painting a completely different picture.

Why Is It Important To Keep Good Order? What is the first thought that comes to your mind when you wake up in the morning? Coffee? Maybe yes, but also I am sure that you start to remember little by little all the things that you have to do today â child care, work, housekeeping chores, preparing a meal, filling government papers, mailing the post, go to the dentist and unfortunately the list goes on. It seems endless. How are you supposed to do everything, when you need 36
Are you just drifting through life? Too many people just drift through life, going with the flow, never having any direction about where they want their lives to go. They are like a paper cup that blows around in the car park at the shopping Centre. It is totally at the whim of the wind and it just floats around from one side of the car park to the other. Do you know anyone like that?
The greatest gift you can give to yourself and everyone around you is the gift of caring and sharing. Commit to view the universe as an abundant place, with sufficient resources to serve everyone. This small shift will allow you to see unlimited opportunities for yourself to achieve all your dreams and that there is enough abundance around to share opportunities with the people around you.
Imagine finding time to: • Fulfill life’s daily demands, • Make headway on your big goals, and • Be able to pursue your favorite and most self-nurturing activities. I know I don’t have to tell you … that can be a very tall order, requiring lots of focus and discipline! And do you notice that often, after you’ve put in your best efforts, you may let go of that last item on the list above - your promise to yourself? Do you say you’ll find time for that weekend away or that special event “another time”?
There are few things as overwhelming as feeling buried in clutter. Whether it’s your in-box, your To-Do List, or your kitchen cabinets, clutter is confusing, discouraging, and energy-draining. Like weeds in a garden, it can overwhelm and choke out whatever you were trying to grow! The start of a New Year (or New Month) can be a great time to make new inroads into your clutter. Try thinking of yourself as a gardener, as you survey whatever is cluttering your life. Imagine the new potentials you can open up for yourself as you clear away the non-essentials.
Time management tips can prepare you to undergo changes - sometimes, profound ones. Given how tumultuous times can be, the better you understand the process of creating positive change in your life, the more effective your time planning will be. Consider this 6-stage model of change, initially developed by Professor James Prochaska in 1997 to support people in overhauling their lives. Here is how you can apply this model to effectively manage your time choices: 1) Precontemplation Stage
Who do you surround yourself with, have you chosen your neighbours, friends and associates wisely? Research has shown that we eventually dress, think, talk and act like the people we surround ourselves with, should something that has such a profound effect on us be left to chance? If you want to support your success and give yourself the best chance of succeeding in 2012, then you must invest time to look at all your associations.
What obstacles are preventing you from achieving your goal? What must you do to overcome them? Knowing what you must achieve is not enough. You have to anticipate the challenges you are likely to face. Think about what you can do to deal with those challenges and perhaps turn them into opportunities. Going back to the “millionaire goal” we used as an example earlier, some of the obstacles you could expect are Lack of know-how or training, lack of resources, difficult or no access to the people you need for your success, lack of inspiration or the correct mentors or coaches.r
Here's the tip: use the "Fast Draft" mode in your printer settings when printing documents for simple internal review. This mode will print your documents 2-3 times faster than "Normal" mode, and also uses significantly less toner. It will save you a ton of time and money, especially on longer ...
Letting Go Clutter in our lives is costing us our most valuable commodity, time. An office with a cluttered desk and files costs us 6 weeks a year; time lost in searching for documents. We often say we don’t have time to successfully sort and file things away and yet, realizing that we ...
One of the great illusions about perfectionism is that it is the pursuit of excellence. Nothing could be further from the truth. Excellence is stymied and smothered by perfectionism. As artist and writer Julia Cameron has written: “Perfectionism is not a quest for the best. It is a pursuit of the worst in ourselves, the part that tells us that nothing we do will ever be good enough - that we should try again.”
We are bombarded by interruptions and distractions all day long. They affect our focus and cause us to lose time getting back up to speed. If we can increase our productivity by just six minutes each day, we’ll increase our productivity by 24 hours each year. That’s three days of production this year over last! Imagine what it would feel like to have three days of work off your desk right now. Quelling the Noise
Time management strategies can be a challenge to implement sometimes, and when everyone isn’t on the same page, you need to call on your conflict resolution skills along with your time management tools. Keep in mind, too, that the conflicts you experience may not always be exte al. If you are ambivalent about a task or project, this, too, is a conflict that needs to be resolved. Any way you look at it, strong conflict resolution skills will free up enormous amounts of your time.
If you were asked to describe yourself in one word, what would that word be? Would it be something like, honest, obsessed, driven, compassionate, humorous, empathetic or any myriad of other possibilities? Write down the one word you would use to describe yourself. Is it the same word other people would use to describe you?
Finding time doesn’t need to be difficult. So, what does your ideal day look like? Would you recognize it if you stumbled upon it? Sometimes we get so caught up in the busy-ness of our lives that we lose sight of what we most value and enjoy. Productivity is important, but if we live too long without replenishing ourselves, we become less and less productive. Our energy flags and our creativity dries up. We are depleted and out of touch with the wellspring of our inspiration and vitality … ourselves!
It is possible to change everything in your life with one decision or a single thought. All that you need to do, to start this miraculous process, of creating exactly the future that you desire, is to make that one decision, to begin doing things differently. This single thought can positively change everything in your life. This one single thought or single decision can: • Unlock your hidden potential • Improve your health • Create great wealth • Create great relationships and forge bonds of deep love and connection • Inspire new levels of joy and happiness.r
Finding time for what matters most always boils down to our time choices. We have the same 24-hours every single day of our lives … and what we do with those hours defines who we are, as well as going a long way to determine the quality of our lives. The good news is that time management tips can provide you with empowering insights to energize and enrich your time choices. If you’d like to make your wisest time choices, then my #1 time tip is to invest time up front by giving yourself time to reflect. I like to call them Reflection Points – these powerful gifts to yourself.
Failure is really only feedback from our environment or the universe telling us that our response to various events in our lives was not correct. What that in effect means is that our responses did not deliver the outcomes that were desirable at that time. So failure really only serves as an opportunity for us to learn and grow and to find different responses in the future, that will deliver the outcomes we desire.
Your success requires time management, and time management requires sticking to your priorities and making tough decisions every day. These days, many of us are working harder and putting in longer hours, just to get by. Do you know the feeling? The danger, of course, is that we lose ourselves in our work. You alone are in a position to decide what balance you want to strike between your work and your home. Whatever decision you make, you then actualize and maintain this choice with a boundary.
I am sure you have heard the cliché “Life is a Journey, Enjoy the Ride” Bandied about recklessly by people around you all the time. These same people then tell you that they are not enjoying their lives, but when they get the new promotion, their kids go off to varsity or they start to earn a certain amount, then things will change, then they will be happy and start to enjoy their lives. The time to be happy is from this moment forward and the time to be enjoying every step of the journey toward living the vision you have in your mind is right now.
In your busy, daily life, time management is important, and productivity is at a premium. So doesn’t it make sense to multi-task whenever you can? Who wouldn’t want to be doing two things in the time it takes to do one? Well, actually … multi-tasking is often exactly the opposite of what you need to be doing when you are pressed for time. In fact, multi-tasking actually works against you when you’re trying to accomplish tasks that require focus.
I believe that it is always the simple option that delivers the best results. To this end I think that leaders therefore have only three main functions in any organisation or company.r
Heart-based time management is all about finding time, increasing productivity, and deepening your experience of each and every moment. And heart-based time management works best when you are using your time efficiently and effectively. But what happens when something unexpected enters the scene and disrupts your carefully laid plans? Well, here’s something to consider: The more you plan for change, the less you need to change your plans.
The greatest investment you will ever make is an investment into your on-going personal development. No other investment will ever give you the same returns. As you consistently invest into your most important asset, namely your own self-development, the returns you will enjoy, go well beyond just gains in monetary wealth. You become a better person in every respect. You are better equipped to be a better spouse, friend, employee, entrepreneur, etc. and if directed properly even your health will improve.
Time management tips can be excellent tools for increasing your efficiency and effectiveness … but they are at their most powerful when they enhance your quality of life, too! Just stop and think about it for a second: What if you could relate to your time in a more open-handed AND more effective way? And what if you could do that right now? The key lies inside of you. Cultivating a vision of time that springs from abundance affects how you approach every task and every challenge that comes your way. It enhances your productivity and helps you make better decisions.
I remember, as a young man, my father used to offer me advice and direction. As great as his intentions were, I never realised that he was speaking from a standpoint of experience and wisdom and that he only wanted to help me avoid, making the same mistakes that he had made. On many occasions, I ignored my father’s advice and encountered numerous challenges and obstacles, which I could have avoided, had I had the foresight to realise that my father’s experience gave him an advantage and a far greater opportunity to be correct.
Finding time to live each moment to its fullest is a core goal and fundamental value of the Heart-Based Time Management™ System. Preparing and planning ahead is one of the best ways to create the climate for living your moments fully. Doing the groundwork ahead of time means that you'll find more time to relax, open your heart, and enjoy friends and family throughout this special season. Here are 3 Tips to think about when planning ahead for the holidays – or really for anything:
We all want to make a difference during our lifetimes, to leave a legacy after we have completed our time on this planet. Making a difference is not just about volunteering to assist people that come from a less advantaged background than you do. You should shift your thinking away from seeing making a difference as an event or something you must do, making a difference is a new way of life, a new way of conducting yourself. This shift will allow you to make a difference, every day in your own unique way, during every moment.
You don’t even need to be very observant to notice that everything around you operates in cycles. There are four seasons every year, we see both day and night every 24 hours and extensive research has shown that we operate best when we work in sync with the ultradian rhythm, which means that we operate optimally, when we work in cycles of 90 minutes, followed by short periods of rest. Our bodies are also tuned in to operate according to the circadian rhythm, which means that we sleep when it is dark and are awake, when it is light.

Time management strategies gain their power from your skill at setting boundaries Only when you firmly say no to old pastimes can you truly say yes to new ones. But saying no can be hard, especially to those whose cooperation you'd like! Here's a helpful tip: Setting successful time boundaries = Setting specific time boundaries.
The one new certainty you have in your life in these fast moving and evolving times; is CHANGE. Whether by choice or by circumstance, any change you experience thrusts you out of your comfort zone and into a world of the unknown. We must learn to accept and embrace change in our own lives and our environments. Learning to embrace change and especially the positive changes you know are necessary in your life right now, is one of the most valuable tools you have available, to help you find joy and harmony and success in your life.
If you are searching for exceptional results, you will need to be different and to do things in your own unique and special way. This is one of the best ways for you to stand out from the herd. As long as you choose to remain part of the crowd and you keep doing things that are fashionable, trendy or popular, you will remain trapped in mediocrity. The way to bring extraordinary achievement into your life requires you to take charge of your future and to commit to use your unique strengths and talents.
Finding time to "stop and smell the roses" a piece of advice that many of us have heard so often that we probably hardly hear it at all anymore. But like so many so-called clichés, this saying harbors a great deal of wisdom. So, if you have paused in the course of your busy day to read this article, congratulations! You are taking the first step toward giving yourself a wonderfully simple and transformative time gift.
Time management tips couldn’t be more important than right now - just in time for the holiday season! How would you like to transform the stressful parts of holiday get-togethers into truly celebratory occasions for yourself? Well, you can do it … and you can start right now by creating a holiday plan that’s geared to your comfort zone.
Time management tips will make you more effective, so long as you learn how to relate assertively without lapsing into aggressiveness. The line may be a thin one, but keeping on the right side of it can protect you from painful backlashes. What is your personal experience with setting boundaries so far? Take a quick quiz to see exactly where you stand: Will Your Boundaries Be Respected? T/F __ I resist setting boundaries because I fear backlashes. T/F __ I don't get mad easily, but when I do, watch out! T/F __ I count on anger to put teeth in my boundaries.
One of the major factors, which can limit your potential and hold you away from realising your dreams, is the opinions of other people. The secret to succeed and become all you can be is to live independently of the good opinion of other people. No one else’s opinion matters at all and in many cases the opinions, which are being expressed are coming from a place of insecurity on the part of the person expressing the opinion. They want to express their own insecurities and lack of determination, so that they can hobble you and your dreams.
Your self-imposed comfort zone is an artificial place, which you have created in your mind, which limits your potential, to a minuscule part of what you are really capable of achieving. Break free from your SELF-IMPOSED comfort zone and stop limiting your achieving any longer, because of your lack of believing. Stop accepting mediocrity, because it is comfortable and begin to experiment and explore a little, break some new ground, try something new today.
I believe that the true measure of a person is not found in what they do when they know people are watching, but rather how they conduct themselves even when they think no one is watching. Are you always cordial and empathetic when you deal with people, especially people who carry no sway over your life? When at the checkout at the supermarket, do you smile and greet the person behind the counter.
There is always more than one way to achieve anything, you can choose the hard way and attempt to achieve things by continuing to coast through life without any plan to grow and expand. Or you can make achieving success a cinch by committing to a lifetime of learning and growth, where you strive to consistently improve your strengths, every day Jim Rohn said it so well when he said “You can cut down a tree with a hammer, but it takes about 30 days. If you trade the hammer for an axe, you can cut it down in about 30 minutes. The difference between 30 days and 30 minutes is skills”
Are you choking on the dust of your own regret, for all the great opportunities you have squandered over the years? Is this attitude or philosophy serving you in any positive way? Can you see how living in the past, focused on what might have been, complaining about all the challenges that have come your way is dragging you out into the financial desert, to die a slow and painful death of regret, where your life seems to just continue to spiral out of control.
Does Your Success, Depend on the State of the Economy? I do not believe that any change or fluctuation in market conditions should have any bearing on how your future turns out. The real predictor of how your life will unfold is determined by your beliefs and consistent daily behaviours. Despite the current doom and gloom about a double dip recession and newspapers splashing headlines every day about the recession we are experiencing, I believe that you still get to write your own success story. The long term sustainable success, which we all want in our lives, is the result of:
There are numerous possibilities available, for you to become the best possible version of your unique self. Accept that there is only one version of you on this planet; no one else has your unique mind, life experience, character, attitude and exactly the same philosophy as you. This realisation sets you apart from the average and allows you to see that you can become the best, in your own unique way. I want you to look at yourself and see your unique strengths, abilities, experience and unlimited potential, as tools to begin and sustain your journey, toward the future that you desire.
As you travel on your journey towards the success you desire, you obviously understand the importance of having a purpose, vision, mission, a set of very clearly defined goals and finally individual goal specific actions, which you will carry out every day. Once you have this crucial structure in place and you are completely committed to achieving your goals. There are a few tools you can use to support you on your journey.
Time management strategies aren’t just about overcoming procrastination, creating schedules, and checking tasks off your To Do List. In fact, time management is an approach to tasks and time choices that can be beneficial in ANY area of your life. From the loftiest questions of life’s meaning, to the most mundane of daily tasks, as you hone your time management skills, everything changes for the better!
It is extremely rare for anyone to exceed their own expectations, so if you can only see yourself achieving mediocre results, that is exactly what you will experience in your life. If you want to break free and create a life of meaning and satisfaction. You must first commit to create a vivid picture of exactly what you want in your mind’s eye and then believe that it is possible for you to achieve just that.
Heart-based time management is all about finding time, increasing productivity, and deepening your experience of each and every moment. And heart-based time management works best when you use your time effectively, because procrastinating won't help you complete important projects, let alone live your values as fully as you can! Now, it may seem counter-intuitive to you, but the absolute best tool for overcoming procrastination is compassion. Not harshness, self-criticism or urgency, but compassion.
Open plan work environments are the norm in most organisations. Some are even going further, introducing ‘hotdesking’ where your workstation is allocated fresh daily. Open plan environments are flexible, positively encouraging conversation, and for many an enjoyable part of working life. But inevitably, noise levels increase, particularly when combined with distractions such as impromptu meetings, distribution of birthday cakes and background clatter of printers/photocopiers in use.
Here are some ideas that hopefully go beyond the “packing tips” that you can find everywhere else and will help make your trip run smoothly, especially helpful if you or your family have ADHD. 1) Use your mobile phone’s features. This is my Number One tip. This compact gadget has a world of ...
I have been searching for that one catalyst, which turns some people into super achievers and keeps others trapped in mediocrity. I have come up with a number of complicated hypotheses, but the one, which seems to offer the greatest promise, is this really simple one stated below. “When your desire for success exceeds your fear of failure and you discover your own unique reason why that specific level of success is important to you, then NO-THING will stop you from succeeding”r
Life is a series of trade-offs and every wasted moment is spent forever. Time and therefore your life are traded for the things you choose to do or not to do. You have an incredible privilege right now, that privilege is awareness. Use that awareness from today, to wrestle back control of your life and begin to create the life of your dreams. Do not wait until it is too late and you have huge regrets about what you did or failed to do with your precious life, before you make any positive changes.
We live in a truly abundant universe, where there is an abundance of everything. To live a truly unique and worthwhile life, you must accept that there is more than enough for you and everyone else. When you commit to share this abundance, you begin to share in the magic. You feel really great that you are able to assist others and your body rewards you with feel good chemicals and you are able to make the world a better place.
Acquiring great success and achievement, often requires you to take on some level of risk. As most super achievers have taken a number of risks in their lives and it is very often that very risk taking that made them successful in the first place, it seems pretty obvious that super achievement and accepting some level of risk are synonymous. The secret though is to know the difference between taking a calculated risk and blundering into something that is just plain foolish risk.

We are nearing the middle of the year. How are you doing with the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year? Remember what Anthony Robbins said, “We often overestimate what we can achieve in a year and significantly underestimate all we can achieve in a decade”. If you are not achieving all the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the year, it is most certainly not time to give up, it is time to take a longer term view of your goals. Keep chipping away every day, stay focused, review the actions you are taking, are they delivering the results you want?
The majority of people would rather vegetate in front of the television, keep spending major time on minor tasks, spend their days lost in a cycle of “BUSYNESS” and never read another book once they leave school. This makes achieving success and standing out really easy for the select few that commit to daily discipline. Invest their free time into learning and growing, have a crystal clear plan and utilize their available time effectively.
Are you willing to turn your vocation into your vacation?
You control your destiny. If you understand that important fact, you’ll learn the greatest results come from creating and maintaining a positive self-image. Self-image reflects the visualization you have of yourself and develops from past events and future expectations. As you build and maintain a positive self-image, you become better in many ways. You develop an inner peace and happiness, which leads to increased success and positive mental attitude (“PMA”).
When faced with any obstacle, change, challenge or roadblock, examine them just long enough to uncover the difficulty they present and immediately change your focus to look for what you can do to overcome them, prevail and turn them into opportunities. All challenges you encounter are possibilities and when managed properly, they will eventually become opportunities. Always look for what these challenges may have highlighted to you and focus your energies on the positive. This will allow you to very quickly discover the depths of your resolve and ability.
Before the advent of video games and the constant bombardment of 24 hour entertainment streaming directly into our lounges, the highlight of our year was attending the carnival, when it came to town. We could hardly wait to ride the bobbing wild animals and whirl, round and round to the music that was blasting out of the old antique pipe organ. Surrounded by flashing lights and strategically placed mirrors, our hearts would race as we all competed to be the one who could reach out and grab hold of the gold ring, thereby winning another free ride.
No matter how good your eyesight may be, it will be of little value if you do not have vision. This is your ability to see things that may be invisible to other people or to innovate and see things that may not even exist yet. The limitations we face in life are not due to our current circumstances or abilities, but are limited by our lack of vision, around what is possible for us. True vision is the ability to create pictures of what can be, it is a place where we appeal to our better selves, a place where we appeal to that hidden self and we strive to become more.r
Finding time works best when you are organized and efficient. But, as I am sure you know, it takes a lot more than to-do lists.
You Will Get Knocked Down – Are you going to Stay Down? Motivational Speakers Facing challenges on the path to super achievement is not only likely, it is inevitable. As you traverse the path of success you are going to be knocked down a number of times. This is a natural progression and something that must be expected on every worthwhile journey of excellence and growth.
By Kathryn McKinnon, Time Management Expert, Best Selling Amazon Author of Triple Your Time Today! These days, not having enough time has become commonplace. Everywhere you go, people find themselves constantly in a rush, over-booked and over-scheduled with no time off. Life is accompanied by the ongoing stress of not having enough time.
The secret to success is not found by trying to shout louder than everyone else out there. The secret is to move away from the crowd and the noise and to begin the process of building connection with the right people, in the right place at the right time. This is a case of going back to basics and instead of trying to spray your message out into the world and sitting back and praying that someone will hear it and miraculously get to know like and trust what you have to offer.
History serves as a great teacher and any wise entrepreneur will look back over the past 100 years and see that there is a definite trend. There is a cycle or market fluctuation, which seems to repeat every seven to ten years. During these cycles, there are periods of easy prosperity, followed by periods of challenge, where prosperity is more difficult and opportunities are scarcer. Look back over the past 100 years and even beyond and you will most certainly see a cyclical trend, with alte ating bear and bull markets.
Looking online is a beneficial and well-known approach of finding used cars for sale. This can be a terrific industry for personal vendors and car traders to market his/her vehicles together with for buyers to see used case without the hassle of going to spherical garages and listening to sales pitches. Car shoppers can find vehicles at leisure time from their houses and possess time to think clearly concerning their choices rather than getting into a rush straight in purchas
At some stage in your life, you still dared to dream and you had those grandiose goals and aspirations, to live a life of meaning and fulfillment. What killed that drive and determination in you? Was it because you really were dreaming the impossible or you just simply did not have what it took or was it something else altogether? Was it because the people around you told you that what you wanted to achieve in your life or business was impossible?
Society has trained us over the years to turn down the volume on our intuition. We have become to doubt our intuition so much, that we no longer listen to or even believe in our intuition. Your intuition is that little voice inside you that knows before you even think about anything. What little voice I hear you say. It is that little voice that just asked that question. Begin to trust your intuition once again; it is one of the most powerful forces any leader can have at their disposal.
No matter how great a motivational speaker may be. The motivation and uplifting emotional feelings they bring out in their audience, only lasts for a very short time after the event is over. I am sure you have experienced this where you have attended an event, with a fantastic motivational speaker, who managed to get the crowd behind him or her, as they pushed people’s emotions to almost breaking point. They stirred up emotions and energy in the room and got everyone feeling like they were unstoppable.
Any superficial motivation that presents outside of you will be fleeting at best and offer very little or no long term, enduring inspiration at all. For motivation or inspiration to offer you any long term value, it must either help you to answer the question; “Why is this important to me” or help you to reinforce your already well-established vision of what you want in your future. It must: 1) Help you ignite your inner power 2) Help you to either create or drive your crystal clear vision of the future. 3) Inspire you to take action.r
Imagine the quality of work you would be able to produce, if you woke up every day challenging the way you did things yesterday, where you looked for ways to constantly improve your performance, by doing things just a little better each day. This philosophy of having a commitment to on-going and never ending improvement, where you strive to be just a little better today than you were yesterday. Will see you make tiny incremental improvements every day, which will add up to remarkable growth over time.
Is there such a thing as failure? You can only fail if you choose to give up and stop trying. As long as you are pressing on, taking action and trying to achieve anything, all you have encountered is an unresolved roadblock, challenge or difficulty.
The rapid rate of transformation and the growth of knowledge all around us has made the consistent acquisition of knowledge a necessity. In the past the select few people, who engaged in the practice of constant and never ending improvement, where they committed to continue learning and growing throughout their lives, were guaranteed to succeed and excel. The rapid rate of change and constant new developments of products, new technologies and the ever shortening of the business cycle has made a commitment to on-going growth and development a necessity today.
Everything that happens in our world is merely an event. We give each one, meaning and get to decide whether it is positive or negative. For example: If two young children climb onto a roller coaster. One is an adrenalin junky and loves being out of control. The other is a more serious child, who likes their feet firmly on the ground. Any time they are not completely in control, they feel overwhelmed and in a state of discomfort. The roller coaster races around the track, the adrenalin junky cannot get enough.
I was sitting with a client the other day discussing a really difficult situation, he was experiencing in his company. He had been in various managerial positions for over 20 years and the challenge he was facing was caused by his naive approach to leadership. The error he had made was a really basic mistake; which he had made a few times before and I would have expected to have observed in a person much younger, with very little business experience.
Our brains are amazing they work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from before you are born, right up until we fall in love. The truth is our brains are far more powerful than any computer ever developed; our thoughts are in fact so powerful that they can either create or destroy. They can create the most amazing and beautiful things, fill us with love and grace or if we choose they can destroy dreams, relationships or even lives.
As long as you keep nourishing the cause of your frustration and you persist in doing nothing about the cure, you will live a very normal, basic life in which you never get to realize your potential or live a complete and satisfying life. You must stop cursing the effect of your unhappiness and lack of fulfilment, while not doing anything about the cause. Make the choice right now to stretch yourself out of your comfort zone and make something meaningful happen in your life.r
In the article yesterday we explored the necessity of regular rest, proper nutrition and for making time in your day to clear your mind and meditate. The greatest challenge you will face, as you try to introduce these three crucial components into your life, is that you will feel like you are slacking off, when in fact you introducing three new tools that will in fact make you more productive.
Jim Rohn, was one of the greatest business philosophers, who ever lived. His wisdom was always sound, yet very simple to understand. One of the greatest philosophies he left with us, as his legacy, was that “Success was not something you pursue; it was something you attract by the person you become”. As you invest time this year to set your goals, it is crucial, if you want to succeed this year that you keep this in mind. Attract Success
Finding time and staying on track when you need to should not be so hard, right? When you have something that you need to finish, or someplace that you need to get to, my guess is that you are alert to the really big distractions that can trip you up. But maybe it's the small time wasters that are more likely to throw you off and pull you away from your planned course. These are the ones that you hardly notice, until you are late for an appointment or have missed a planned deadline. Here are some common, “small” time wasters that may sound familiar to you:
It often astounds me, how things that are such common sense, are seldom common practice. We all know that history serves only one purpose and that is to act as our tutor. Yet so many people spend an inordinate amount of time reminiscing about what could have been or using the past to justify their current lack of performance. Learn as much as you can, from what has happened in your past, create a crystal clear picture in your mind, of exactly what you want in the future and then live in the NOW.
Whether you have the word Salesperson on your business card or not, I am certain that you were involved in a number of sales conversations today, without even being aware you were selling or trying to sell something. Maybe you tried to influence a work college to see your point of view or you negotiated with your daughter, about her commitment to her schoolwork, or maybe you negotiated with your spouse about the movie you want to see on the weekend, etc. In some shape or form you were involved in trying to influence someone to do something today.
Have you ever explored the limits of your potential? Or are you limiting yourself by what you believe is possible for you. There are amazing stories going back through history, where humans have exhibited incredible feats of both physical and mental prowess. One of the stories that really stood out for me was when, Marie Payton was using her self-drive mower to cut her lawn in High Island Texas. The mower pulled out of her hands and began to careen out of control across her lawn, heading straight for her granddaughter.
What is Your Personal Billboard Telling the World? Motivational Speakers
One of the most neglected areas of our lives is our Physical health. I can never understand why so many people neglect to take care of the vehicle that supplies their energy and carries their mind. We can never expect to achieve anything meaningful and sustain our level of achievement if we continue to neglect our bodies. Why does it take a catastrophe, where we are either lying in hospital recovering from a triple heart bypass operation or we are so overweight that we cannot function properly any longer, before we see the need to take care of our health.
Finding time to stay healthy can be challenging in the midst of holiday celebrations. But whatever holidays you celebrate, you don't have to give up healthy habits. In fact, you can still celebrate and have fun while maintaining and building on the activities that sustain you and add countless positives to your life.
Let’s put the romantic notion about money aside, yes success is not about how much money you can accumulate, it is something specific and unique to each individual. However money does buy us a lot of the scarcest resource, namely time. If we are able to accumulate enough money, we are better able to free up time to spend with our families, learn more, assist more people to grow and expand, to travel and to see the world. So whether you love or hate money, you most certainly need it, to live a better quality of life, where you have time to do the things that matter to you.
Is the familiarity of your current circumstances keeping you trapped in an uncomfortable place, where you do not like where you are, but the thought of taking the action necessary to change things is really daunting? Your days seem to blend, one into another, where what you do every day makes you miserable and even though you want to move your life in a different direction, you are trapped by inactivity. This place you have locked yourself in, is one of the biggest misnomers around, you call it your comfort zone, but it is probably one of the most uncomfortable places to be.
The easiest way to set and achieve your goals is to reach into the future, where you will discover the most vivid picture of the success you desire. Look at this picture and discover what you are doing, enjoying and becoming. Borrow this wonderful picture of what is possible and use it as your inspiration today, to begin taking those daily inspired actions, which are going to turn your dreams into reality. The more clarity you build into this picture, by introducing as many of your senses and emotions as possible, into the creation of your picture.
I am sure that you have had a great 2012 and as we near the beginning of another wonderful year, it is time to put 2012 behind you, learn the lessons it offers and move forward into 2013. You cannot achieve greatness if you continue to stare into the rear-view mirror as you travel into this new beginning.
Our capacity to learn from birth, until around eighteen is dramatic; this accelerated learning curve equips us to learn a staggering amount in a very short space of time. We learn language, culture, manners, social skills, history, science, and mathematics-everything that makes us human. For some people this accelerated learning curve continues long after their eighteenth birthday and continues for most of their lives, but unfortunately for most people, it levels off as soon as soon as they get their first job.
Unlock your greatness and know that even when the prize you are seeking seems out of reach or you may be facing challenges that seem insurmountable, you have what it takes to triumph. Light a candle in your mind and allow yourself to look inside, discover your incredible level of resolve and ability to overcome anything that may come your way. Calm your mind and believe it, trust yourself and you will achieve it. Look inside and you will discover someone that is filled with possibility and when you learn to trust, listen, believe and to take inspired action, nothing can stop you.r
Most of the incredibly effective ideas, tools and techniques that I am going to introduce to you in this article, are not new. They are all common sense and really simple to apply in your life and if you use them will make a massive difference to your financial wealth. The one huge challenge that you face though is that as easy as they are to use and apply, so easy are they to avoid and neglect to carry out every day.
Whatever you are earning or capable of earning is related to the value you add to any organization or individual. Stop thinking about how much money you get each month, either from the profits earned in your business or a salary you earn from your job. Shift your mind away from money earned and see the resources that come your way as a Barometer of the value you are bringing to the market place.
I want to help you to make a few small shifts, which will assist you to become far more productive. When I refer to productivity I am not talking about adding more activity, more work and longer hours to your day, which will only add more pressure to your already overloaded schedule. I am talking about increasing your output, by doing things smarter, improved results, more money, greater feeling of accomplishment and actually achieving all the goals that you set for yourself.
“I believe each of us is born with a life purpose and mission. Identifying, acknowledging, and honoring this mission and purpose are perhaps the most important actions super achievers take.” Discovering and articulating your values, mission and purpose allows you to gain direction for your life’s journey and allows you to organize all your thoughts and actions around satisfying this true essence that is you. Anything that is not a true expression of your values, mission and purpose should be excluded from your life.r
As we near the end of another year; are you any closer to realising your goals this time round? Or do you feel disillusioned, where you feel like you have given your all, spent the year frantically busy, but your results indicate that you have, just been spinning your wheels, yet again. You feel trapped on a hamster wheel of constant frantic activity, overwhelm and discontentment, where each year seems to just blend into the next one and nothing seems to change. Benjamin Franklin said it so well when he said “Don’t confuse motion with action”r

Everything you learn, you either learn from observation, imitation or repetition. This learning, over time gets converted into your habits, which either serve you or keep you trapped in a life of mediocrity. Your habit set, starts to develop, from offhand remarks, fleeting ideas and vague images, which settle layer upon layer, in your mind and through repetition, these unimportant, wispy cobwebs keep growing, until they turn into thick inflexible cables, which can either shackle and limit you or strengthen your ability to succeed.

When you speak to a young child and ask them about their dreams when they grow up, they get so excited about the prospects that await them. They tell you that they can’t wait to grow up so that they can begin to pursue their dreams. Children are filled with passion and excitement about the prospects their future holds. They are still in touch with their dreams and they are able to allow their inner potential to cast a vision of what is possible for them in their future.
Finding time is easier when you're mindful. And Time Energy™ offers you ways to continually reconnect with your mindfulness. Why Mindfulness? Mindful moments are fully lived. You are present to them, so they don't slip by unheeded, unappreciated, and under-utilized. When you find time to clear the clutter from your life, whether it’s in your space, on your To Do List, or even in your mind, you are giving yourself an energizing and very practical gift. What do I mean by that? Well, clutter is fundamentally debilitating. It makes every task take longer than it needs to, drains your energy, and can be discouraging … even embarrassing … adding to your stress and decreasing your everyday satisfaction. So, finding time for decluttering is one of the most sure-fire ways for making two vital and positive changes in your life:
Are you feeling like you are stuck in a pinball machine, where you are juggling the demands of your current circumstances, but you are constantly getting bumped around and never seem to get any time to focus on creating the life, you have dreamed about. In fact you are so tired of getting bumped around and pushed away from your dreams, that you have finally just resigned yourself to your lot in life. You have accepted that your life is just an endless cycle of jumping onto the hamster wheel every day, spinning your wheels, working yourself to the bone and achieving nothing meaningful.
Making the most of the time you have isn’t just about making successful choices – it’s about integrating those choices into your life so that they become positive habits. Usually by the end of a month of continuous daily repetition you will develop a successful habit that will lead you to welcome challenges and expand your energy and confidence. It’s a powerful and ever-widening spiral that enhances your efficiency and effectiveness, as well as adding to your enjoyment of each moment.
Have you been working yourself to the bone, pursuing success, working long hours, giving your all, but somehow success just seems to elude you. It always seems to stay out of reach and even redoubling your efforts does not seem to help much. No matter how much persistence you apply and how hard you try, you seem stuck on a hamster wheel and the harder you try, the more you seem to just spin your wheels. The reason for this is simple; you are approaching success from the wrong perspective. You cannot pursue success, anything you pursue, will elude you.

There is a never ending commentary going on in our heads, even during certain parts of our sleep cycle each night. We are constantly talking to ourselves, even though we are seldom aware that we are doing it. This on-going commentary relates to events we experience and our reactions to those events. Unless you are vigilant, your self-talk can become extremely negative and destructive or limiting in nature.
Challenges It is often our most challenging moments in life that offer us the greatest opportunities to grow and expand. Take a real honest look at any challenges you have faced in the past. Are you better or worse off for having faced those challenges? Start to view all challenges as delayed opportunities waiting to be exploited.
No matter how well organized and efficient we think we are, at some point weâve all felt as if thereâs just not enough hours in the workday to keep up with everything. Someone asked me what Time Management meant to me. I said that it was doing as many right things at the right time, as often as you could. It seemed as good as a definition as the others I have given. Managing our time is the most direct link there is between success and failure. The more times I have to look at how I manage my own time, the clearer that connection becomes. Time Management is the road we all must follow, if we hope to be happy and successful. Doing The Right
Great success is seldom if ever achieved in isolation. Irrespective of how much natural talent or ability someone possesses, they still need the support of other people. This is even truer in the case of any leader who wants to successfully lead any team to greatness. The level of success, which any leader is able to achieve is determined by the people they choose to surround themselves with. No leader can possess all the skills, abilities and attributes necessary to be a great leader.
Irrespective how clever, rich or talented you are, there is one thing we all receive exactly the same amount of each day. The way we choose to manage this scarce resource, is the single most important factor, which determines how things turn out in our lives. Choose to squander yours and you will live a life of average, choose to carefully invest your available TIME into only priority activities, which are aligned with the outcomes you want to achieve and you have mastered your life.
You play an integral role, in the way people treat and respond to you. If you are not enjoying the way people in your environment are treating or responding to you right now, there is only one thing you need to do. Change the way you treat and respond to all the people around you. As you know it is impossible to change anyone else, but changing yourself is one simple decision away. As you change the way you treat people and you begin to show people how you want to be treated, almost as if by magic, everyone around you will begin to treat you differently.
Motivational Speakers Taking the first step along the path of success and super achievement is crucial. The challenge we face though is the ability to stay on track and to keep taking those next steps every day after the initial positive emotions we felt when we made that first step start to fade. The way to actually achieve the results you desire this time, is to not only start, but to remain on the path until you succeed.

How are you Investing Each Hour that Passes? Is every hour that passes during the day, the most effective use of your time? Whatever you choose to invest your time into each hour, will determine the quality of life that you get to live. Time is on the wing and it will just continue to fly past you in a blur of discontent, unless you make the choice today to invest yours more wisely. As each hour passes during the day, spend 10 seconds looking back at that hour and ask yourself:r
What if you could give yourself the gift of time and space to expand, deepen, and recharge your energy? Imagine giving that to yourself each and every day. Time management can increase your efficiency and help you actualize your goals. Heart-based time management does that, too – and so much more. It offers the path to an ever deepening experience of your moments, and it opens doors to timelessness.
I often wrestle with the concept of what the mission and purpose of our lives actually is. Of the many different ideas I have discovered, the one that rings true with me, is the ability and willingness to live our full potential. Every virtue, treasure and reward in life is dependent on us uncovering and living according to our potential. Robert Louis Stevenson had a wonderful way with words. He stated this idea so beautifully over a hundred years ago. “To become what we are capable of becoming is the only end in life”
Any great leader knows that the success of their organisation or department depends on the calibre of people who fill their teams and on how well they are able to inspire and influence them. I am sure that you have a picture in your mind of the perfect people, who you would want to fill your teams. What does that perfect team member look like? • What is their energy level like? • What skills or knowledge should they possess? • What is their commitment to on-going learning? • Do they come in early and stay late? • How is their work ethic? • Are they entrepreneurial?r
Finding time to accomplish your goals is a challenge in this busy world. It gets that much harder if you feel like your day is hijacked by others’ priorities or cluttered with others’ crises. Take a moment and take a breath. How do you feel inside when strong personalities make demands or confront you with 'surprise' deadlines? Maybe you immediately feel responsible. Or maybe you feel annoyed or frustrated - or even paralyzed.
Before the advent of the computer age and globalisation, there were only two certainties in life, namely death and taxes. Since we moved into the new millennium and the rate of technological development has sped up even more, there is now a third certainty and that certainty is constant change. This inevitable accelerated change is speeding up year after year, due to the on-going technological development, the explosion of knowledge, globalisation, the shift in economic power to Asia and the changing demographic majority in a number of first world countries.
Stop pursuing success, believing that you can achieve any number of goals, if you follow and stick to all the principals described in the self-help books you have read. The principal for achieving all your goals is simple: • Clarify your vision and purpose. • Create goals that are aligned with your vision • Build an effective plan to realise all your goals • Go about the business every day of carrying out the necessary activities to realise each goal.
The people you choose to associate with are one of the most important factors or influencers, which will determine how your life and business will turn out in the future. These influencers will get to determine whether you stick to your daily commitments to take action towards achieving your goals or whether you remain permanently derailed and never apply yourself to achieve anything meaningful in your life or business. If you continue to choose a negative reference group to surround yourself with, you are condemning yourself to failure and lifelong underachievement
Whenever you are in a leadership position always have a crystal clear picture about, what your vision and purpose as a leader is. As this allows you to have a track to run on, gives you a set of criterion against which you can measure every decision you make and allows you to keep moving toward the results you are attempting to achieve.
Are you destroying your ambition for meaningful success, because you are allowing yourself to remain trapped in FEAR? When I speak of FEAR, I am referring to the irrational FEAR; so many people have about success or failure. If left unchecked, FEAR destroys our lives, limits our progress, holds us away from our fortunes and even destroys our relationships. Have the courage to confront your unfounded FEARS and stop allowing your FEAR to keep you trapped in mediocrity. Indifference is not the Answerr

Finding time to really enjoy holiday festivities can be a big challenge. Why? Well, think about it. There are lots of factors that are especially prevalent during this season … and they certainly up the ante when it comes to stress. They include: • Complex feelings and dynamics generated by family gatherings; • Coping with loss and grief (often accentuated at holiday time); • Busy stores and long, long lines; • Baking, decorating and other holiday projects; • Gift buying, strained budgets, and financial stressors; and • … more!
Like so many technologies, voicemail is both a blessing and a curse. We rely on it, but we’re often frustrated by it. So how can you use it more effectively? How can you minimize the amount of time you spend playing phone tag? First, become more aware of when you can use voicemail to move a conversation forward. If you’re reaching out to someone new or you’re contacting someone about a new topic, there’s no conversation to sustain, that’s true. But at the very least, you can let the person know when you’d like them to try to get back to you.
The magnitude of social and economic change in the world has sped up dramatically over the past few years. It is now crucial to have a focused vision, personal strategy and a crystal clear set of goals, if you want to step out of the crowd and live a life of excellence. This knowledge based world, where change is now the norm, has in fact made having a clear vision and focused personal strategy essential, not just for people that want to excel, but for anyone that wants to thrive and survive.
As each day passes, is the world a little better off because you have been here or have you had no effect or worse, you have left the world a little worse off, because of your passing. Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote a beautiful poem in which he measures success by how we leave in the world, as we pass through it. In his poem he states that we should “leave the world a bit better” because of our passing through it. That one phrase really stood out for me and has left an indelible mark burnt into my mind.
There is a really great way of foretelling exactly how your future will turn out. It does not require that you visit a clairvoyant, sit under a pyramid and chant or even that you gaze into a crystal ball. All that is needed is a good set of plans detailing how you want your future to turn out and the commitment and discipline to take action every day to carry out your plan.r
What must you do every day to finally live your goals? To get from where you are to where you want to be or should I rather say “where you passionately NEED to be”. You must firstly be certain that you really need and want, whatever goal you are attempting to achieve in your life. You must have a deep inner desire to live that new reality and you must be certain that you are prepared to make the sacrifices, which living that goal will require.
We live in an ever changing world. The pace of the change is speeding up every day. The only way to survive and to thrive in this ever changing environment is to constantly innovate, evolve and grow. Your commitment to consistent innovation is what will separate you from the followers and make you a true leader and path finder or trail blazer. You will become an achiever that will stand out and you will become someone that sets the standards for performance and achievement.
Your perceived failures and challenges can only make you bitter, if you allow them to. When you change the way you see challenges or roadblocks, the roadblocks and challenges will change. This shift, will unleash a powerful new tool for you, which will allow you to use challenges as the very catalyst that will help you to grow and get better.

Since my cancer journey began over 3 years ago, Iâve been motivated to live fully while Iâm alive, savoring each moment, relishing this precious life. As a result of that, something wonderful has happened: the quality of time has changed for meâ¦time has miraculously expanded! I told a friend about this recently and she, being a busy person whoâs always crunched for time, was genuinely intrigued, âHow do you do that? How do you expand time?â I started thinking abou
It would be naive to say that things have not changed in our environment; we are most certainly facing tougher, or should I say different conditions, than we have faced in the past. The reality of these uncertain times though, is that they are here to stay. I believe that this is how normal will feel and be in the future. The easy times of the early 2000’s will never exist in the same form ever again.

Finding time to breathe and relax may feel like the ultimate luxury, but it is entirely practical … much more practical than pushing yourself to exhaustion. And the really good news is that it’s also entirely within your control. Slowing down may seem counter-intuitive when you are stressed. But believe me: When you develop these 3 skills, you can put yourself back on track … and bring positive energy and focus to whatever you need to do in your life.
No matter how bad the economy may appear to be, or how poor your perception about the world may be, there are always people with a need to buy and others with goods and services to sell to meet those needs. Take a look around the room you are sitting in right now, how many things have you purchased over the past year to meet your various needs, your need for comfort, shelter or sustenance, etc.

It seems like the world is running at such an accelerated speed that we barely have any time to catch our breath. We start the day running out the door at full tilt; only keep going until we crash into bed from exhaustion. Then we get up and do it all over again day after day. The weekends don’t seem to offer much relief either, because we have soccer practice, ballet recitals and business social events. While most of us would consider ourselves effective time managers, few o

We all need to make a living and even though we may be involved in something that is not inspiring us or making us feel passionate, we must never allow that to stop us from expressing our true desire. Make a small shift in the way you think and see everything as on the way, rather than in the way. When you see everything in your life as contributing to the future you desire. Things that seemed overwhelming and sapped your energy before transform into things that you know are contributing to your future success and you become inspired to do them.
Time is only a concept that allows us to rationalize linear changes in our lives. The only reality that makes any sense to me is that we live in a universe without any beginning or end and that we are all an important and integral part of this ete al universe. Have you invested time into creating a clear vision for the future? Until you do this your life will continue to fly past in a blur of dissatisfaction, where you continue to see everything in your life, as being in your way. You will live in a place where you are constantly looking for ways to get through your day, week or month. When you have a clear vision or mission, everything you look at changes, you no longer see everything as being in your way; you see the same events as crucial milestones on your way to living the life of your dreams.
These days, everyone is busy. This is true even for kids. You complain about juggling work, household tasks, school activities and family time. You feel out of control with so much to do and too little time to get things done. You get frantic about picking the kids up on time, getting dinner on the table, caring for the screaming little one who demands a lot of attention, and even a simple bedtime routine turns chaotic. While it is true that time management for parents is a c
Traveling for business and for pleasure regularly for more than 15 years now, I would have classified myself as a "clumsy" traveler -- I was very unorganized and likely to forget important (if not critical!) items on my trips. I have wasted valuable time and money looking for and buying stuff ...

Developing an understanding of how millennials or Gen Y-ers (people born between 1980 and 1995) are motivated or inspired has proven to be a very challenging exercise. They are the generation that was raised by overly doting parents who pandered to their every whim, coddled their self-esteem and praised their every action. They played in sports teams where keeping score was frowned upon, where everyone was a winner and each team member got a trophy for just showing up.r

Although there appear to be 365 days in a year, in reality there are only as many days, as you actually make use of. Decide what type of days help you to be the most efficient and effective, days that leave you feeling the most satisfied and content. Now that you have a crystal clear picture of what works, aspire to create as many days exactly like that as possible.
According to the laws of physics it is impossible to find a one-sided positive magnet and no matter how thin you slice anything it will always has two sides. The same is true about our lives. You cannot expect to live a one sided positive life without any challenge or stress. I am sure you are all familiar with that computer animated post-apocalyptic movie, produced by Pixar animation studios, called WALL-E. In that movie the people lived aboard a space ship, without any challenge or stress at all.
I have recently been asked the questio “What motivates and inspires you”? I found it rather difficult to answer this question at first and got inspired to write this article, now that I have given this issue some deep thought. When my son was 10 years old, I never needed to walk into his room on a Saturday morning and motivate or inspire him to go and play video games. He had already been in the games lounge, since 5 am, eagerly playing all the games he loved and that I challenged him.
I am sure that you are like most people and have a favourite type of food or even a favourite restaurant, where you love to eat. This gives you a wonderful way of nourishing your body. Can you say the same about your mind? Do you have a favourite author or type of book, which you use to nourish your mind? It is a really sad reality, but our society has accepted that nourishing our body with good food is essential, which is great, but we have ignored the other essential part of who we are namely our mind.
We will get out of our lives whatever we invest time and effort into creating. The way our lives ultimately turn out is our responsibility. Whether our lives are fulfilling and enjoyable or difficult and uninspiring is all the result of what we do or fail to do. As the creator of your own experience, empower yourself to become a super achiever and by taking the first step and accept 100 % responsibility for everything in your life.
If you are driven to succeed, I am sure that you work as hard as you can every day, trying to give 100 % to everything you do. The questio I have about this philosophy, where you give 100 % every day and work until you can’t anymore, is that, without time to recover, our bodies gradually break down. Those of you that go to gym will know exactly what I am talking about. If you push yourself every day, working to your max, never taking a day off to rest and recover. You begin to see a gradual decline in your performance. You seem to be weaker every day, unable to sustain your peak performance.
It certainly looks like we are going through really difficult times on a global and to a lesser extent a national scale. What seems to be real doom and gloom for some is in fact the greatest opportunity that has come the way of entrepreneurial thinking people with vision. If you are willing to make the shift and be one of the people that are able to see this economic turmoil as the perfect storm for entrepreneurship, you will look back in 20 to 30 years’ time and fondly remember these challenging economic times as the greatest window of opportunity for any entrepreneur.

We spend every day in the trenches. Putting out today’s fire. Rising to the next occasion. We focus on moving the proverbial ball down the field. Little thought is given to what it means to cross the goal line. I recently had occasion to enjoy a cup of coffee with a client towards the end of the day. It was a perfect time for us to sit back and just catch up.

Over the last few years, I’ve been leading time & e-mail management sessions at major conferences, corporations, and universities in the United States and abroad, and over that time I’ve had the opportunity to take a good close look at the key issues people are having with their e-mail effectiveness. Perhaps one of the biggest problems (areas of opportunity?) that I see is how people are handling individual e-mails, causing their e-mail inboxes to “stack up” and then become unwieldy.
Over the years I have noticed a strange anomaly, which at first seemed to me, to be counterintuitive. When people try to work fast, they become overwhelmed and slow, whereas, when they concentrate on being smooth, the results they produce are not only better, but they occur faster too. When people are hurried and pressed, the results they are able to produce are poor, however when people are encouraged to make a crucial philosophical and behavioural shift, where they focused on being smooth rather than fast, the results they managed to produce, were far better and faster to produce.

There is only one type of stupid question and there is no such thing as rejection. The only stupid question is one that is left unasked and rejection is a complete fallacy. Until you wrestle back control of the organisational culture within your business, your results will continue to be battered, by the limitations of the current unwritten rules or beliefs within your business.

The most effective way of leading any team is not by trying to do everything yourself, clutching onto every morsel of power your position holds. There are so many definitions around the word success; so many in fact that I feel the word has really become extremely overused. We all have a set of unwritten rules about the way we do things and the way we expect people to respond to us. I grew in a tough neighbourhood, where if you showed weaknesses, you would be bullied and treated as an outcast. Did you think I needed to be sent an email or a memo, as I was growing up to be informed of that fact? Or was it just an unwritten rule about how things were in the neighbourhood. It was an almost unconscious knowing that permeated through the neighbourhood. The same is true about the unwritten set of rules, which form the culture within your organisation.

They feel like they just don’t have what it takes to achieve greatness.

This is not an argument against the use of time management techniques but rather a point to be made about the common misuse of otherwise sound and strategic tactics. Many interpret effective time management as a way to unknowingly introduce complacency into their scheduling habits! Whether it is trying to make the best use of time when working online or even managing a household the objective is to increase productivity. There are some however who mismanage their attempts to
To thrive in both your personal and professional life you need to organise and prioritise your workload so that you’ll be able to achieve your daily, weekly, monthly and yearly tasks and goals. Organising your time to create the right balance between work and play will not only help you to get things done, but it will also lower your stress levels and keep you in good mental and physical health. The truth of the matter is that if you are not managing your time properly, you
Before any motor race, the drivers of the various cars compete with one another to try to be the fastest during the qualifying rounds, so that they can earn pole position at the start of the race. The driver in pole position starts in the front of the race and does not need to work to try to pass anyone else during the race. He simply needs to hold his position and he or she will win the race.

The time to take action on any new idea, which comes into your head, is now. The sooner you take action, while the idea is still hot and the emotion is strong, the greater the level of inspiration and the better your drive will be to succeed.
Success always leaves clues. No one around you that has achieved great success has done so in a vacuum. The path they have traveled, to achieve the remarkable success they have achieved, is paved with their own personal recipe or brand for success. One of the easiest ways to invite similar levels of success into your own experience is to explore what they did and to uncover their recipe. This recipe can then form the foundation you use for building your own “success blue print” or strategic plan. If you fail to plan, you are most certainly planning to fail.
In todayâs world, running a competitive business requires keeping up with the fast pace of technological innovation. Thousands of years ago business was just a matter of trading your bread for some cloth, or your wood for a goat. This is no longer the case. Business now faces numerous demands such as processing credit card payments, managingrnemail inquiries, updating payroll for employees, and keeping track of invoices. The list is endless. Most businesses opt to use licen
Do You Use Your Time Wisely When I was younger, I never considered the importance of time. I just laze around, watching TV, lie in bed, and play video games. As I grew older, I thought about the things that I have achieved. To my surprise, I haven't accomplished a lot. I resolved to myself that I will do things that will contribute to the benefit of mankind and to myself! I studied very hard and learned a lot of lessons from my experience. I lacked self-confidence before, so
Outsourcing your telemarketing projects can be a valuable way to increase your company's bottom line. There is no shortage of call centers to choose from, so make sure you pick the right one. The majority of overseas call centers are located in either the Philippines or India. It helps to understand a little bit about the country to which you are outsourcing before making your decision. The most important thing to consider here is your target market. India was colonized by th

Recently I was working with a senior manager, John, who loved to "wing it". He was great at "winging it" most of the time. But people knew (and so did he) that he would let them down at some point. Ever found yourself saying, I will, when I find the time or, time got away from me? We'll this time management article is for you This is part of the series of articles on time management benefits outlining the 7 Secrets to Create an Extra Hour a Day? So let's go through these little used secrets quickly.
Using your time wisely and finding success is founded on self-knowledge and self-respect. You might think that it requires organization skills and discipline - and those things are certainly important. But even more important to your time success is being your own best friend. In everyday practice what that means is finding time to listen, understand, and stand up for yourself. When you are in your own corner and you know that you can count on YOU, there's not much that can stand in your way.
Building trust with people can take time, destroying trust can happen in milliseconds. Any great leader knows that they must always act in a trustworthy fashion toward everyone around them, especially their followers. Trust is the foundation of great leadership; it is the glue that holds any team or organisation together. People may tolerate poor decisions from a leader in the short term, but any leader, who repeatedly breaks the trust of their followers, can never continue to lead and positively influence them.
Your level of productivity can make or break your career. If you are not producing, you are not going to be effective at your job, and you are not going to have the rewarding career you always dreamt of having. Did you know that businesses lose millions of dollars each year due to distractions in the office that lead to low productivity? You are likely guilty of moments where you are not being as productive as you should. We all are. To combat this issue, here are some tips t
The attitude you project to the world can never be something, which depends on what is going on in your life or business at that time. It is something you have 100 % control over. In fact one of the most important choices you must make every day, is the type of attitude you intend to project to everyone around you. When you make the right choice and you project a positive, optimistic attitude to the world, you empower yourself and set the tone for great success and fulfilment each day. What is Your Depth of Character?r
What percentage of the time that we’re late for a meeting or a phone call is it truly, fully, outside of our control? Certainly it’s very rarely. The vast majority of the time when we’re late, it’s because we don’t plan well enough. We didn’t leave early enough for our destination. We didn’t enforce time boundaries earlier in the day. Or we didn’t set expectations properly. (Or some other reason over which we could have exercised control but didn’t.) Here two important questions to ask of yourself: 1. What do I have to do differently to be on time? 2.
Your parents give you your name when you come into the world, but it is up to you what sort of name you present to the people around you throughout the rest of your life. As you know it takes years to build your reputation, but if you allow your guard down, one small discretion can destroy it in seconds. I know you want to realise your full potential and be the best version of you possible. It is far easier to achieve success in any area of your life if you are trusted by the community and your reputation precedes you, than it is if people distrust you and doubt your word.
The quality and meaning you get to enjoy in your life, is never measured by the size of your paycheque or the type and size of your motor vehicle or even whether you have managed to accumulate one million dollars in cash in the bank. The ultimate measure of anyone’s life is in the fulfilment they get to live and how much meaning they see in what they get to do every day. How you enjoy meaning and see fulfillment is unique to you and your specific circumstances. You unique set of circumstances will dictate what constitutes either to you.
All you really possess is right now, the past is gone forever and is only a distant memory and the future only exists as an idea or electrical charge in your mind. So if you consistently live your life looking in the rear-view mirror, living with regret for what could or should have been. You are wasting the value of every moment to be content and fulfilled. Similarly if you constantly live, gazing into the future, conce ed about what may be, you never get to use your most valuable possession, namely every “NOW” to live, love and laugh. If you want your world to change, you could set a goal of changing the president, forcing interest rates down or improving the world economy or you could make a wiser and far easier choice and choose to change the one thing you can easily change – yourself. Everything in your world can change in an instant if you make the choice to change the way you look at your world.
Joining the Conversation on Social Media Keynote Motivational Speakers When you want to start making your mark in the social media arena, it is best to start out by listening to conversations that are going on about similar companies to your own or about the market you want to enter. Most people want to live their full potential and become the best possible version of themselves possible. My experience has shown me that it is possible for anyone to dramatically improve their performance and for them to realise their potential, if they are willing to make a few small targeted behavioural and philosophical shifts as listed below. Understand your Purposer All super achievers have a purpose bigger than themselves. Look around your world and discover a purpose, which is bigger than your own selfish, personal interest.
Have you tried evaluating how you spend your time? In a day you have 24 hoursâmostly of the 8 hours are spent on sleeping, and when you woke up you have 2-3 hours to spend breakfast and morning activity with your family, the next 10 hours on your work, and then the last 2-3 hours in the afternoon or evening with your family for dinner. During your morning hours with your family, either you are in a hurry to bother cooking or playing with your children or spouse or you are t
2012 only serves one purpose, now that it is almost over. That purpose is one of learning and growth. Learn from the past, but practice the art of living in the now. You cannot expect to expand your world in 2013 and beyond, if you continue peering in the rear-view mirror, conce ed about what should have been. Live every moment in the NOW, armed with the knowledge and experience gained from the past, working towards the promise of the future.
How much of your productive work time do you waste in pointless unproductive meetings that seem to meander in a rudderless fashion down a meaningless path of unnecessary blathering and brain numbing pointlessness? These types of meetings are the thief of one of the most valuable tools available to any organisation, namely the ability to use a gathering of minds, as a powerful tool for brain storming and productive activity. Turn pointlessness into productivityr
Every day we are surrounded by influence agents, who are all vying for our attention in one way or another. There are billboards everywhere, companies use ambush techniques like phone solicitation, to try to get our attention and money, TV and radio commercials blast at us all day, our emails are filled to the brim with unwanted advertising messages and even when you try to use your social media channels, there are adverts everywhere. There is a mass of unwanted noise going on around us all the time.
Time management is a day-to-day challenge that offers great rewards when it comes to efficiency, effectiveness, and making the most of your available energy. When you spend time on a computer, the challenges are a little bit different than they are in the rest of your daily life.

Stop Allowing Distraction to be your Master Keynote Speakers The information overload you are pummeled with every day is the most dangerous threat to your productivity and effectiveness. The amount of information available is exploding, there are more than 2 billion emails sent every day, 75 million blog posts are published every day, half a million books are published each year and there are almost 20 000 magazines in publication.
At one stage of my life I was so good at procrastinating, I was even able to fool myself into believing that I was not procrastinating. I was so adept, in fact, that I was even attempted to write a book, detailing how to look busy and productive, whilst still managing to procrastinate the most important tasks. Do you know someone like that or maybe the person I am describing is you?

You walk into a room and look around. Wow, there's a lot to do. You don't know where to begin. You feel an ache in your stomach.  It's hopeless. You walk out of the room. You're disgusted with yourself and the situation. There's a project you've been meaning to do for ages now. You have set aside yet another afternoon to finally get it done. But there's so much to do on this project. Where do you start? Besides, it's probably going to take more than just one after
No one can ever expect to feel fulfilled or to be living a life of meaning, unless they have a clear vision and mission for the future. The two greatest tragedies in life is to either, never have a mission or vision for the future or to feel like you have fully achieved your life’s mission, leaving you with no challenge or vision for the future.
If I asked you the maximum number of push-ups you could do? You would probably answer a low number like 5, as push-ups are not there on your scale of important things to do. What about if you did your maximum of five and I said that you could rest for a while. Could you do another five after you had rested for a short while? Of course you could. If you kept doing five push-ups twice a day for a week, could you do 10 push-ups, by the end of the week? Yes of course you could, but hold on a second, I thought you said that the maximum number of push-ups you could do was five?
I have read many research papers and conducted my own research towards my PHD, on why some people become high achievers and others don’t. My findings have been rather interesting, regardless of personality type, habits, gender, occupation or geographic location, everyone I have researched, who has achieved great things in their lives, had a clear vision of what they wanted to achieve and without exception, they believed that they would succeed in achieving that vision.
Are you one of those people that always make to-do lists for everything? While so many time management courses teach the importance of making these lists, the reality is that they rarely work. The idea of having your life dictated by a list may help you get things done, but its definitely not the way to live a fulfilled life. One of the problems with to-do lists is that it creates stress. When you walk into your office and stare at a long and difficult to-do list then its eno
How you use your time is very crucial. You could waste time unneccessarily or have tons of down time by working quickly. You should look at these tips if you need some tips with time management. However, the truth is, that there are no cookie-cutter rules for managing your time. It is perfectly okay if your friends' strategies do not work for you. It was a Saturday morning in May when I realized that I was not as smart as I thought I was. This happened about 35 years ago but it is as fresh in my mind as if it was yesterday. I was operating one of my franchise organizations and this franchise was in the Lawn Care industry. In this business, there are certain days in the year where you can make 10 times the amount of money than other days. One of those golden days was any Saturday in May. On those Saturdays in May, you w
I do not believe that there is such a thing as rejection. Before you ask someone for something, either an order as sales professional, or a date with a beautiful lady, you do not have the order or the date. If the person declines your invitation, you still do not have the order or the date. Nothing has changed. Things only change when they accept your invitation. So in my eyes, as long as things stay the same, you have not been rejected, you have merely maintained the status quo. Reduce the Possibility of Having Your Invitation Turned Downr
Jugglers fascinate me. Not the run-of-mill, three-balls-in-the-air type, but the ones I call the Master Jugglers. I love the guys or gals who can toss torches, chainsaws, balls and small animals all at the same time. Well, maybe not the small animals part, but you get the point. In a sense, weâre all jugglers. Only, instead of swords or bowling pins, we juggle life. And thatâs who this article is for â the jugglers. For the ones who have multiple âballsâ in the air

It is not too difficult to look around your world and see that people, who give freely, receive copious amounts of whatever they give, back in return. People, who enjoy the most love in their lives, are the people who give their love freely to all the people around them. The people I have observed around me, who have the closest friends, are the most friendly themselves and they are always giving friendship, love and caring to their friends.
Once you are clear on what you want to achieve and why it is important to you, use this information to create a crystal clear vision for the future. Your vision is the picture of possibility, which you write down and use to serve you as your direction indicator into the future. It is the foundation for creating exactly the future you have envisioned and serves as your pointer towards possibility. It gives you direction and purpose and serves as the direction you must travel, to invite meaning and fulfilment into your experience.

Leadership, like most business skills, is completely learn-able. The secret to become a great leader is to be patient and to allow yourself the time you need to gradually grow into the type of leader you need or want to be. All leaders who commit to grow daily, both personally and as a leader and who consistently commit to grow their knowledge base and leadership skill set. Will over time compound into great leaders, who can positively influence their followers. Leaders are developed daily with consistent and focused effort, never in a day.
I have read numerous studies on success and the effect that the people you choose to surround yourself with, have on the type and scope of success, you will actually manage to achieve. These studies have explored a number of variables around financial, career, relational and spiritual success. Every single study I have read found that the people you invest most of your time around, have a very definitive effect on all factors relating to most, if not all areas of success.
Many of us suffer from a hurry up and get it done mentality. We believe that we can get more done by speeding up everything and multi-tasking on everything. While driving weâre conducting business on our phones, we eat while working on assignments, we listen to our family members while reading email ⦠the list can go on! We have become a âget it all done todayâ society. Therefore, the question becomes are we really setting ourselves up for long-term success or long-te
As every good sales person knows people buy from someone who they know like and trust and that any decision relating to what they want to buy, is directed by logic, but ultimately the final decision is driven by their emotions. Our emotions are really powerful motivators and as such any great leader understands the importance of connecting with their followers on an emotional level. This connection where their followers learn to know, like, trust and really connect with their leader on an emotional level, allows the leader inspire their team and move them to action.
