Why is it, then, so many trip up, drop the ball and feel like they've lost in the game of life? Here are the hard facts:
• According to Sports Illustrated (SI) 78% of NFL players go bankrupt.
• In the NBA, about 60% of players become broke within 5years of league withdrawal.
• Athletes have a high rate of risky behavior that results in legal trouble: drug abuse, reckless driving, gambling & promiscuity.
• Divorce rates among the athletic elite hover somewhere between 60-80%rARTArticleProbabilities & PredictionsDuring meditation, I’ve been given predictions of events to come by both Gaia, soul of the earth, and my own Guardian Angel, whom I named Theo. But I noticed that not only the predictions given to me, but to trance channels and psychics seemed to be hit and miss. In my case, some events would be within a day or two of the event. In other instances I would be way off, such as when I was told there would be a major earthquake in Japan around the first of September 2010 and it did not take place until March 2011.ARTArticleProsperityn At times it seems our thinking thinks us, but that's only because we've been programmed to react in certain ways. We are most likely upset by what our parents, our peers, or our community taught us to be upset by, and by the way, still teach us to be upset by! They even taught us ...ARTArticleProverbs for the 21st century: Lessons from the curious questioning catMODERN MINDSET
Do you have a questioning mind?
Most people have heard of the adage that curiosity killed the cat. This means if you question too much it could lead to bad results.
WHEN CURIOSITY IS GOOD
However, it is good to have a reasonable level of curiosity because one of the meanings of this word is eager to learn and we need to be eager to learn if we want to develop more.
NEW DEFINITION
Curiosity killed the cat is a proverb that has been around for over 500 years, but in the IT and Information age needs to be modified to suit the contemporary world.
OUT WITH THE OLDrARTArticlePsst…Who’s Really Sabotaging Your Success?Success is such a subjective state of mind. When you close your eyes and image the taste and feel of success, what shape does it take? Is it having a sold out seminar or landing a high-profile speaking gig that puts a smile on your face? How about signing on a big-box retailer as a new distributor of your product?
No matter how you envision your success, if you are working around the clock and still not seeing the fruits of your labor it’s most likely due to sabotage. But, who would do such a thing?
YOU!
You are sabotaging your success. Ooo…I said it!ARTArticlePurposeful Living: Clarify and Distinguish Vision from MissionOur life purpose platform needs to be built on a foundation built upon the rock of our truth, who we feel (with heart) we are, not just who we “think” (head) we are. Belief is based more in a sense of feeling, not thinking, actually.
I’ve discovered the hard way, that allowing society and others to set my priorities can be deadly for living with clarity, confidence and peace of mind. It also can swing you on both sides of the financial spectrum, for those of you who are money-motivated and still believe that money is the golden formula for a happy life.ARTArticlePutting the Common Back in Common Sense AgainPUTTING THE COMMON BACK IN COMMON SENSE AGAINnby

Almost quaint by today’s standards, the emotion-driven campaign highlighted the power of picking up a phone and connecting with someone across the street or across the world.
Though the tools may have changed — Skype, cell phones, Facebook, Twitter — the concept of “reaching out” and connecting with someone (or lots of someones!) on an emotional level remains just as vital for today’s high-stakes presenters.ARTArticleReaching True Potential Requires Self-TrustReaching true potential is easier said than done. We’ve conditioned our brain and mind to trust outside of our self. Once I garnered the courage to color outside the boundaries of what I was informed from those around me to be true, I really began to grow. Here’s the catch: I had to learn to trust myself. It’s amazing for me now to notice just how much we are willing to let science or others dictate to us what works for us and what doesn’t. Actually, there is much trial and error going on, even in science.ARTArticleReady, Fire – Got Aim?Before you do another thing, are you clear about where you are going and why? We’ve become a society of frantic doers, not taking the time to reflect and get clear before taking massive action. And even when we do create a strategy, it is often in the old way of thinking, and so our plans have trouble taking root… the road map has changed, and we get so busy “doing” that we miss the signs along the way.ARTArticleREALITY INSTRUCTIONS FOR KIDSREALITY INSTRUCTIONS FOR KIDSnBy

She said she always over-prepared, obsessing for weeks in advance, losing sleep and repeatedly rehashing what she wanted to say and do.
I asked her, "When do you know your presentation is good enough?"
She responded, “Good enough to do what?”
Her question led me to read TJ Walker’s two excellent books, How to Give a Pretty Good Presentation and TJ Walker’s Secret to Foolproof Presentations.ARTArticleReconciliation of YouSigmund Freud was certainly right about one thing. Living in a multiracial and multireligious countrySelf-preservation or the greatest respect for othersr
I live by the words of Shakespeare – that nothing is good or bad except thinking makes it so. I also believe we need to assess a situation from all angles and not jump to conclusions, or if we do take the time to reflect upon those conclusions. We need to let anger subside before we come to a conclusion.
MANY MOTIVATIONS
We may act for self-preservation and we may act out of fear or we may act out of respect.
